"Nico! Nico wake up!" Nick wakes with a start as his grandad shakes him awake,
"Come on boy! You're going to be late for school."
"I'm up! I'm up!" Nick murmurs out with his eyes still closed, next minute he feels his legs dragged from the bed.
"What the hell pops!" Nick shouts as his body thuds onto the floor, his grandad hysterically laughing.
"You said you were up! I was just testing!" He calms his laughter down as Nick sits back on the bed, "Anyways I'm going to get you some paint so when you come home later you can decorate make it more...you!"
Nick smiles at his grandad as he strokes Busters head prepping for the day ahead.

"Um alright I have one final announcement before we all leave. We can't use the auditorium for the next week." Mr Schue announces as everyone looks at each other confused.
"But that's garbage how are we supposed to practice for regionals without the auditorium?" Finn asks what everyone else is thinking.
"The Cheerios need it to practice in. There nothing I can do." Mr Schue states.
"I recommend a sit in." Rachel says.
"I recommend we torch the place." Puck adds on
"And that's gonna help how?" Nick asks looking at the boy who shrugs as everyone laughs.
"No we've faced adversity before and we've come out stronger on the other end. I'm gonna check out a few off-site locations for us to use for this week. I promise I'll find us a new home." Mr Schue tells them.

Nick was sat in Coach Williams office as the man was rambling on about something to himself, "Coach is, is everything okay?"
The coach stops and looks at Nick, "Hey sorry buddy, we're meant to be talking about your mom coming to see you. I'm sorry things are just a bit chaotic at the minute." Nick furrows his eyebrows never seeing his coach in a state like this before, "I'm good coach, but you seem... stressed."
"Oh boy! That's an understatement I think I'm loosing hair. My wife you see... she wants us to become foster parents and don't get me wrong I'm all for it but I just... I'm scared iceman." The coach candidly blurts out, "Im sorry that was highly unprofessional, but I've never had to be a father before and I think I'll suck at it."
"Coach can I speak freely right now?" Nick asks and the coach motions his hand telling him to go ahead, "Accept for my Pops you are the best man I know. Since freshman year you've looked out for me and I'm so grateful for you... you've given me a home here."
The coach looks down smiling to himself, "You mean that?"
"I do!" Nick replies smiling.
"Thank you son." The coach returns gratefully.

That night when Nick got home, he sat with his guitar in his hands. He knew he was meant to be decorating but the thoughts of his mom coming home were intruding his mind. He remembers the advice Miss Pilsbury gave him, if things get hard just sing about how you're feeling.
