Prom-Asaurus

"You can't be serious Nick? This is the most important night of our entire high school lives?" Quinn whispers to him during their lesson. He waited till the teacher went back to writing on the board and turned towards her, "They haven't confirmed the date yet. But I can't miss the scholarship introduction at Yale. They're the only college that wants me Quinn after you know... the incident." He looked at her intently. He knew what prom meant to her and being crowned prom queen, but the predicament he found himself in was not an easy one. Which meant they'd been having the same argument since he'd told her about the scholarship day.

The girl lets out an incredulous sigh, but before she can reply the Pa speaker in the classroom turns on, "Good morning McKinley High! First of all those of you thoughtful enough to leave maternity gifts outside my office both I and my unborn child thank you, for the lackluster cracker barrel meat and cheese medleys, and I'm sure that my trash can will find them delicious." Nick snickers at Coach Sylvester's voice, feeling Quinn's glare on the side of his face he straightens himself up.
"Now it's time to announce this year's Senior prom court committee." Nick could hear, feel and somewhat experience Quinn's anticipation, "Your choices for prom King are... Rick The Stick Nelson, President Brittany S Pierce, that's weird. Finn Hudson and also Nicholas Henley."
"Yes Nick!" A random guy he's never spoken to claps him on the back.
"And now onto the category we all really care about... prom queen." Nick swivels in his chair looking at Quinn, his fingers crossed for her under the table. She faced forward waiting for the nominees to be called, "Becky for prom queen 2012!" Sue Sylvester's sidekick calls down the mic, Nick whistles, "Yeah go Becky!" Quinn eyeballs him, but then refocuses herself back on the announcements as Coach Sylvester's voice can be heard again, "Missy Gunderson, Santana Lopez, Laura Bishop and Quinn Fabray." Nick wished he could bottle the emotion on her face, a relieved smile appearing on it, "Fully deserved." He kisses her cheek. She beams for a second and then glares at him through narrowed eyes, "Don't think you're off the hook Henley!"
