Nick watched as Quinn stood up bolting for the exit of the cafe. He didn't waste a second following after her.
"Quinn! Quinn wait! Hey wait up!" She's running and he's trying to keep up. She turns down a side street and stops leaning against a wall, her face covered by her hands. He walks to her, stopping right in front, "Come here Quinn!"
"Just leave me alone! Please just leave me be!" She cries out.
"I'm not leaving you like this! Just come back and I'll give you a lift home!" He tries to reason with her.
"I don't want to see her... she has my daughter. She was mine... and I gave her away. I gave her away Nick." The tears streams down her face. His hearts breaking at the sight of the girl in front of him, "Please Quinn! Let me take you home. I'll ask if I can finish early! I don't want to leave you like this!" She begins walking away again and he goes to follow, but she turns around and looks at him, "Just let me go, please? I just, I need to be alone right now!" He nods accepting her wishes and letting her walk away.

Walking back into the Lima Bean, Nick looked around for the former vocal adrenaline coach, in case she was still here.
"She's gone! She got it to take away...said she had a meeting." Delilah tells him. He nods at her and then hangs his head low, "What was that about?" He exhales, "Shelby adopted Beth."
"Beth who's Beth?" Delilah confusedly asks.
"Quinn's baby from last year. Shelby adopted her." Nick tells her, leaning his head against the wall.
"Shit!" Delilah states.
"Yup shit!" Nick repeats, knowing that if the woman's in town it can't be good.

It was the day of Nicks holiday. He had tried to call Quinn but he had no answer, no reply to his texts either and he was worried.
"Nick are you ready?" Walt calls up to him. Nick grabs his bag and runs down the stairs with it, he throws it in the boot and then freezes, "I just need to do something I'll be half an hour max!" The boy runs towards his truck, starting the ignition ignoring Walt and Wilmas shouts. He leans out the window and calls over to them, "I'll be back before you know it... I promise!"

Quinn was in her room. She ignored every call and text from Nick. Seeing Shelby bought up the feelings of her breakdown in New York and she was spiralling. She was questioning every single moment of the summer spent with Nick. How could someone like him actually like her? She couldn't believe it, she didn't want to believe it. He was Nick and he's he had his issues, but he's one of a kind. But he wouldn't mess her around and deep down in her gut she knew that. She stood up and looked in the mirror.
