Jordan believes that nobody loves, wants, needs her. That everyone just runs away from her. So all she does is makes contact with blade and skin. Cutting is her salvage to the hate and bullying she receives. She also thinks that everyone hates her but not everyone.
While living alone she also finds that One Direction make her feel wanted but also loved. Their music persuades her not to cut as much and that she is beautiful. She desperately wants to meet them but thinks they'll run. It's all people do around her. She used to it so it wouldn't hurt as much.
