The fights finally ended today and I'm so happy. Just one more week until initiation is over and I can stop dealing with initiates. I like training initiates but sometimes they're really annoying.

Tonight is also capture the flag night so we have tomorrow off. Uriah has been talking smack for the past week so we can't lose this! If we lose I will never hear the end of it! Just now at dinner he was talking about how his team is going to beat us to a pulp and how it won't be fun for us.

When we get back to our apartment Tobias and I decide to relax until capture the flag. We have about five more hours until we have to go and I'm exhausted. Tobias and I are laying on the couch and the next thing I know he's shaking me awake.

"Tris, we really need to go wake up the initiates."

"I don't want to. I want to lay here with you and sleep. Forget about the initiates."

"Come on, it'll be fun! Do you want Uriah to win by default?"

"No," I grumble as I slowly drag myself out from under the covers and grab a change of clothes. I end up grabbing skinny black cargo pants, a tight black V-neck T-shirt, and a jacket. I pull my hair back in a braid before I follow slip on my combat boots and follow Tobias out the door.

When we get to the transfer initiate dorm we quickly burst in and start yelling at them to get up. Madison falls out of bed and scrambles to get up before she draws too much attention to herself. Before she's completely up Lila jumps out of bed and trips over her, sending them both sprawling onto the ground. Kaden bolts up and looks around, trying to see where all the commotion is coming from. Everyone else just look stunned and annoyed. Before we leave we tell them to be at the train in five minutes and that they better not be late.

Tobias and I  sprint up to the platform by the train tracks so we're the first ones there. We don't want an initiates beating us, or worse, Uriah. As we're standing on the platform the wind starts to pick up turning the cool night cold. Now I'm glad I'm wearing a jacket.

After a minute Uriah and Christina show up. Somehow they managed to get matching jackets. I thinks it's supposed to be intimidating but instead it looks kind of ridiculous. When I see them I burst out laughing.

"Christina I didn't think you'd be one to match outfits like that!" I mock.

"I didn't choose to. When I went by Uriah's apartment to make sure he was awake he saw what I was wearing and grabbed Marlene's jacket that's like mine. I told him to change but he wouldn't and I didn't have time to go home."

I start laughing even more. "You're wearing your girlfriend's jacket, Uriah?"

"The sad thing is that it fits him," says Tobias with a strait face. Christina and I start laughing so hard I think I might fall over.

"It won't be so funny when we beat you, Tris," Uriah claims. His face is bright red and he won't look at us.

"Oh no, it'll be twice as funny when we beat you," I say. I get the last word because just then the initiates start to show up. We might tease Uriah but not in front of the initiates.

A few minutes later we're on the train heading toward the pier and it's time to pick teams. Since Uriah and Christina got the first pick last year we get the first pick this year. We end up with Max, Rowan, Serena, Emma, Quentin, Heath, Kali, Audrey, Madison, and Vince. Since we're getting off second we're expecting to need a better defense than offense.

Soon Christina and Uriah's team is off and we're getting ready to jump as well. When we do our team decides to go to the pier. We run quickly to the pier and when we get there everyone starts arguing over where to put the flag. Max eventually grabs it and starts to walk away. All of the initiates are too caught up in arguing over where to put the flag to notice that the flag is gone, but Tobias and I notice. Tobias starts to go after her but I put my hand on his arm to stop him.
