"Here comes the airplane!" You laughed, spinning a spoon in circles. "God forbid you uncle walk in right now."

The child laughed and the phone rang. Carter, your son grabbed for the spoon and you let him have it. Even though he was three you still liked to baby him.

You got up and looked at the caller i.d. It was Niall. You checked the clock. 5:00. He should've been home an hour ago, where was that boy?

"Hello," you said into the phone while squeezing the soap out of a sponge left on the counter from earlier.

"Hey babe. Sorry I'm late for dinner but we got held up at the studio. I don't know when I'll be back home," the poor guy sounded exhausted.

"Sure, I guess I'll see you tonight?"

"Uhh," he paused for a moment, "I wouldn't wait up for me. It's been a pretty stressful day and management needed this song by yesterday. We're already running behind."

"Alright, Niall." You noticed your son popped his head up at the sound of your husbands name. "Do you wanna talk to daddy?" you cooed to your baby boy. He shook his head eagerly. "Alright, here you go."

As soon as you handed the phone to your son your cell phone started to ring. You answered without looking.

"Hello?"

"Hello is this Kiara Horan?"

"Yes, may I ask who's calling?"

The stranger cleared their throat. "I was just calling to tell you about your last appointment here at the hospital." You tried to think back to when you last were at the hospital. Ahh, yes last week- severe stomach pains. "It turns out you're pregnant." The lady said. She kept talking but you didn't hear much else.

You stood there in shock. How could I be pregnant, you thought to yourself? Well obviously.

"Okay, well have a great evening."

You hung up the phone and watched as Carter stood on the seat while he talked to his father with the biggest smile on your face. He was such a daddy's boy. Maybe having another child wouldn't be so bad.

"Carter honey, can I talk to daddy?"

Before you grabbed the phone he already had hung up, but you didn't feel like telling him the news over the phone anyways.

You sighed knowing Niall wasn't going to be here till late. He was normally home on time and great around the house, which was a blessing, but on nights like these you couldn't help but feel lonely, no matter how happy you were for him.

You checked the clock which now read 6:00. You decided to watch some tv and before you knew it, it was 8:00, time to put Carter down for bed. You grabbed your squirming son who was already half asleep and carried him upstairs.

You brushed his teeth, changed his clothes and tucked him in bed.

"Mama, sing me a lullaby," Carter said, clapping his hands.

You chuckled. "I can't sing. Only daddy can sing."

"Pwease?" He asked. You couldn't help but resist the cutest face. Soon you were singing and the boy was drifting off into a long sleep.

You examined his face. He looked just like his father, the only thing different was his nose. You couldn't help but admire this young boy's beauty. He was sure to go far one day.

Sudden claps came from the door and you turned around. "You don't sing that badly." Niall said leaning against the door frame. A wide smile crossed your face as he walked up to the bed and sat down next to you.

"I thought you weren't going to be back till late," you said, leaning against his shoulder.

"I lied," he chuckled. "I wanted to surprise you."

"Well surprise," you said softly.

You both watched your baby boy sleep.

"He's perfect." Niall wrapped his arms around you in a hug.

"Want another?" You half joked, not knowing what he'd say.

"Of course," he said kissing your forehead.

You rubbed your tummy, "Well good."

His eyes went wide, "You mean..." he trailed off.

"Yes," you whispered and looked down but he pushed your chin up and gave you a soft kiss on the lips.

"Another child would be perfect," he said as he pulled away from the kiss.
