Chapter 20 Calls & Kisses

Taylor's POV

He looked at me with a shocked expression.

"Really?" He asked, his eyes full of hope.

"Yes. Hunter I've loved you for a very long time. So yes, I'll be your girlfriend."

He looked at me like he had just seen fireworks.

"You don't know how long I've been waiting to do this." He said.

He leaned in and I met him half way. Our lips met and it was like fireworks exploding.

Cheesy I know, but it's true.

We pulled away.

I smiled at him. He returned it.

"Hey I should probably call your family." He said laughing.

"Oh yeah. We forgot about that." I answered.

He kissed me on the cheek. "Ok I'll be back in a couple minutes and your family will be here soon. Why don't you try and get some rest?" He suggested.

"Okay. When are we going to tell them about us?" I asked with a yawn. I was tired.

"We'll tell them in time. Get some sleep Tay. Love you." He said.

"Love you Hunter." I said.

He walked out off the room and shut the door.

I yawned once more before I fell into a dreamless sleep.

I woke up later to the sound of people talking.

I didn't open my eyes. I was still really tired.

"How long has she been awake?" a voice asked.

"About an hour but then she fell asleep." another answered.

"Oh. Well I'm glad my best friend is ok. I'm sorry for leaving. I just couldn't take it anymore. But I'm back now." the voice from before answered.

"I'm glad your back Claire." the same voice said.

I opened my eyes and saw Hunter and Claire hugging.

"Guys?" I asked.

They pulled apart. Claire looked at me with teary eyes.

"I missed you so much Tay." she said as she ran over to my bed.

She gave the best hug she could with the IVs in me not helping.

"I missed you to." I said.

We stayed like that for awhile. Then she let go and Hunter came and grabbed my hand giving it a squeeze.

Clair must have seen this because her eyes light up like a kid on Christmas.

"Are you guys together?" she asked giddily.

I looked at Hunter.

"Yeah." I said shyly.

"Finally!" she shouted.

"I'm glad Hunter finally stepped it up and asked you." she said.

She hugged us both. "I'm happy for y'all." she said.

After Claire's visit, my mom, dad, and brother came.

My mom was so emotional and was crying almost the whole time.
