Chapter Six

When I emerged from my hideaway, Louis and Harry were both seated in the living room. I peered around the corner, my presence going unknown as they continued on in conversation.

"I'm god damn serious Harry. Do not try anything on her, or I'll kill you myself." I heard the echo of Harry's laugh fill the room, and I had to bite my tongue to prevent myself from running out there and smacking him in the face. "Louis I don't think you're in any position to be calling the shots here." He retaliated after he finally stopped cackling like a murderer.

"You're lucky she even agreed to this you son of a bitch. So be polite to her." Louis spat. I looked around the corner again to see Harry's jaw tensed as he eyed down my friend. "You're the one that's lucky. Not her, Louis."

I walked into the living room abruptly, not surprised when the conversation ended. "Zoey." Harry stood up, attempting to hug me. I dodged his arms, stepping over towards Louis. "How do you even know my name?" He grinned again, as if it was funny. "Not hard to figure out, Louis was screaming it all night at the party in an attempt to get me away from you." Louis scoffed, rolling his eyes but he stayed seated.

"So.. Shall we get going?" Harry asked and my eyes widened. "Today?" I asked, expecting to make a date not just jump right into it. "Yes, today." His expression was serious, and he stood up taller. I backed up a little further, once again feeling intimidated by this tall boy with a lot of tattoos. "U-uh, okay.." My voice came out a lot fainter than I expected it to. I turned around and walked back to the spare bedroom, picking up a long knit sweater and throwing it on over my plain white tank top. I grabbed a matching scarf, loosely tying it around my neck. I was clad in light blue skinny jeans, and a pair of Toms. I really wasn't sure why I was putting effort into my outfit, hopefully he wouldn't notice and think I was actually trying for this "date".

I walked out of the room, surprised when Harry wasn't there. "Did he leave?!" I sharply whispered to Louis, hope filling my voice. "He's waiting outside." I groaned, grabbing my bag and slinging it over my shoulder. "Do you know where he's taking me?" I asked, heading to the door. "No. But listen if it gets to be too much and he tries anything, don't hesitate to call me. If you're uncomfortable I'm a phone call away and I'll come get you." I smiled, walking back over to Louis and pulling him in for a hug. "Thanks Lou."

I heard the front door open and bang against the wall and I rolled my eyes, thankful that he couldn't see my face. "Bye" Louis whispered, planting a small kiss on my cheek. "Bye." I reciprocated, turning and walking out the door. Harry closed it, putting his hands in his pockets and not saying a word as we walked to his car parked on the street. It was some kind of SUV, black with a dark brown and grey leather interior.

Surprisingly, he opened the passenger door for me. I stepped up on the sidestep, getting in my seat. Harry stayed silent as he closed the door, walking over to his side and climbing in. He started the vehicle and began driving, but I wasn't paying attention to the road. Instead my gaze was trained on him. He stared straight ahead, every now and then biting on his lip and flicking the ring that was through his skin.

Even though he was kind of scary, he wasn't at the same time. And I must admit, he was quite attractive. Perfect dark brown curly hair, green eyes that were hard to forget, and those dimples. Although I've only ever got a look at them when he smirked, I found myself really wanting to see a genuine smile from him. Despite his choice of covering his arms and what I assumed to be most of his torso in tattoos, plus his lip ring, he was still one of the more attractive males I'd ever laid eyes on. And I was about to go on a 'date' with him. I wasn't sure if I should be excited or terrified.
