Kate
Today’s the day that we go home, I thought excitedly to myself the next morning
when I woke up. Today was the day that I would see my friends that I haven’t
seen for the past two months.
“Good morning, beautiful,” Christian said walking in from the bathroom. He was
shirtless and had wet hair indicating that he had just gotten out of the shower.
“Morning,” I said as I looked at him.
“Like what you see,” he smirked.
“Nah,” I said and he frowned. I couldn’t help not to laugh. “You know I love what
I see.” I got out of bed and wrapped my arms around his neck.
“I know you do,” Christian smirked and kissed my lips.
“You’re sweet,” I told him.
“I know,” he smiled.
“Okay, I’ve got to take a shower before it’s time to go.” I gave Christian one more
kiss before I walked over to my bag to get clothes for the day.
Christian
I got dressed and headed downstairs to the kitchen. I decided that I was going to
cook breakfast for Kate. I got out pancake mix, eggs, bacon, sausage, and bread. I
started making the pancakes just as my Aunt Caren walked into the kitchen.
“What are you doing,” she asked me.
“Making breakfast for Kate,” I answered.
“What about the rest of us,” she asked.
“There’ll be some for you guys, too,” I assured her. No matter how much I was
ready to go home I was going to miss my aunt’s carefree spirit.
“Good,” my Aunt Caren smirked.
“Hey, who’s taking us home out of you and Uncle Tom,” I asked her.
“Your uncle is because I have to go to work, but I wish I could take you since I
really want to see your mom,” she answered.
“K, now go away since I’m cooking and I need to concentrate,” I scolded.
“Are you trying to usher me out of my own kitchen? It doesn’t work that way,” my
aunt laughed.
“Aunt Caren, are you bugging our little Christian,” Kate asked while she walked
into into the kitchen.
“Of course not, what are you smoking,” my Aunt Caren said with mock
innocence.
“Aunt Caren, stop trying to be a teenager,” I said.
“Where’d you get the idea that I’m trying to be a teenager,” she asked.
“Goodbye, Aunt Caren,” I told her.
