Nate
I was sitting in the living room watching Teen Wolf when Brittney walked in.
“How as your nap,” I asked her as she came to sit by me.
“Short, but pretty good,” she answered around a yawn.
“Well that’s good,” I told her. “Do you feel like going and hanging out with
Nick, Sarah, Kate, and Christian?”
“Maybe in like an hour,” she said.
“Okay,” I replied. “Are you hungry or thirsty?”
“No, not really,” Brittney shrugged, and lied her head on my shoulder. “Nate,
I’m sorry for snapping at you all the time. I just don’t know what comes over me,

about that. Come on, if I’m right you need nothing else until you hang out with
your friends and be a teenager for a while.”
“Nate, we can’t,” she protested. “I want to tell my parents I’m pregnant first.”
“Well, do you want to wait until dinner or just go and tell them?”
“Let’s just go,” she said.
“I’ll get my mom to take us,” I told her.
“No, we’ll just run after we tell them if we have to,” she replied. “Come on, let’s
go.”
“I’ll just go tell my mom that we’re going to go hang out with Christian and
