“I think I’m going to puke,” Brittney said standing up and running to the
bathroom. I stood up and ran after her to help her if she needed it.
We were at Kate’s house, but it turned out that she was home.
“Are you okay,” Kate asked as she came into the bathroom. “Brittney, you can
barely eat anything because it makes you sick. Maybe you should talk to Dr.
Hollington about it cause there could some kind of pill to help it from being so
bad.”
“Ug, this is exactly why I don’t want to be pregnant,” Brittney complained as
she lied her head down on the bathroom floor.
“Maybe you have the flu on top of this,” I suggested as I felt her forehead and
noted that she was burning up.
“I hate this,” Brittney mumbled. “If I hate it already, how am I supposed to live
for nine months being this miserable?”
“Do you want or need anything,” I asked her.
“I want to go back to your house and go to bed and sleep until all of this is over,”
she mumbled again.
“Here,” Kate said handing Brittney a cold water bottle of water. “I’ll go call
Christian’s mom to come and pick you guys up.”
“No, my mom’s on her way to pick us up,” I told Kate.
“I don’t wanna get up,” Brittney complained, “I just wanna die.”
“Don’t talk like that,” I told her. “It’s going to get better, I promise.”
“When,” she asked.
“Not too long from now,” I said.
“Liar,” she muttered. “It’s only going to get worse as if the nausea and cramps
aren’t bad enough.”
“Come on, my mom’s here,” I told Brittney.
She looked up at me and said, “Please carry me, I don’t feel good enough to
walk.”
“Of course I’ll carry you,” I said. I picked her up and walked downstairs. Kate
walked behind me so that she could open the door for me.
“Call me tomorrow,” she said to Brittney before going back inside.
“Do you not feel goo,” my mom asked Brittney as we got into the car.
“Not at all,” Brittney mumbled.

I had to fight to stay awake on the way to Nate’s house. I felt like I was on fire
