Chapter 15 - If this isn't love, tell me what it is?

After a 7-hour flight, nakarating din ako ng Paris. I’ve been here before so hindi na bago sa akin ang paligid. I also have friends here before kaya I’m thinking of seeing them one of these days. Just moments after the plane landed, I texted Sky.

‘Hi Kin. Just landed in Paris. See you next week, love. I love you.’

I’m not expecting for a reply or anything kasi alam ko naman na hindi sya magrereply. And besides, anong oras na din. It’s past 10pm na here in Paris, so it’s around 12mn na in UAE. Baka tulog na yun or something. Tsaka galit nga pala sya sakin so asa pa kong magreply yun.

I was in the middle of an argument in my mind ng biglang tumunog ang phone ko.

‘See you. :)’

It’s from Sky! From Sky! Tinignan ko ulit yung message, may smiley pa! Ano yun? Nagreply sya. Okay, calm down Lexi. Nagreply sya! OMG. Biglang nagbago ang mood ko, kanina lang I was grumpy and all, now I’m all smiles. Good vibes. ‘Good vibes lang.’ I said to myself.

After the standard procedures in the airport, now I’m off to the hotel. Sabi ni Jane, yung assistant ko, may susundo daw sakin na limo papuntang hotel. Teka, speaking of Jane, dapat kasama ko sya ah. Sa lahat ng business trips ko dapat kasama ko sya ah. Bakit wala sya?

Anyway, so I walked towards the arrival area to look for my sundo. I was too focused on finding my name sa mga placards ng mga chauffers na nagaabang sa labasan, when somebody approached me.

“Bonjour, mademoiselle.” A french man approached me showing a banner with my name on it.

I nodded and smiled then he gestured towards the exit and helped me with my luggage.

Naglakad kami papunta kung saan nakapark yung sasakyan. When I saw it, it was a stretched limo. Ang taray diba. Nilagay nung man yung gamit ko sa trunk when somebody purposely bumped into me.

“What the hell?” I shouted. Okay, sabi ko good vibes lang dapat. Pero sa laki ng space, hanggang dito ba naman may babangga pa sakin??

I turned to look kung sino yung taong yun na hindi man lang marunong mag sorry, nung nakita ko, napanganga na lang ako.

Si Sky.

Hindi ako nakagalaw bigla. Napatulala lang ako.

Si Sky.

Tinitigan ko pa sya ng matagal. I can’t move. I feel like fainting. My heart’s beating too fast.

Si Sky.

Naka red na polo. Smiling, handing me a bouquet of red roses.

Si Sky.

Na hindi man lang ako hinatid kanina papuntang airport.
