Chapter 7

I sat on the bed, "Mi Angeletto, life is sometimes unfair, but great miracles happen to those who wait" I said, stroking her hair, then she sat up and faced me, it was like a habit now, she would always sit up and look at me in the eyes or cry her eyes out in my chest.

"Daddy..." she began saying which I knew where this was already going, "Am I A MISTAKE" she wails then flings herself at me, I was already prepared for this "Listen, you aren't a mistake" I sternly said.

She grabbed a fistful of my shirt, the smell of her blood was tempting I haven't had a feast for a solid day, my throat was irritating me, I growled then my daughter shrank back, "Are you thirsty? Daddy" she asked I just nodded, "Daddy can Afton fetch us some humans?" my daughter asked.

"This is a very low populated area" I said, "Let's go hunting!" my daughter suggested, "Of course" I said, my daughter hopped off the bed, and we both went down stairs.

Edward's POV
My daughter, Renesmee had asked me what was wrong Princess Charlotte, but I had the slightest clue, then I told her that she could check up on Charlotte, but then King Caius stood up and took the initiative "I'll go check up on my daughter" he said, then my eyes followed where he was going, I was still not trusting him, but since he was the father of Charlotte who saved me from being in the guard, I had to pay my respect to her father, regardless, "Dad, what's gonna happen to Charlotte?" my daughter said.

"I'm not sure" I said, then that's when everything In the house went silent while we heard cries then growls, I was weary of what was happening then to my relief the both of them made their way downstairs, "Dad what was all that noise??" Renesmee questioned a bit scared.

"We are both deprived from blood" King Caius had said standing straight

I looked at the little girl for any words, but she simply nodded.

"Race you" I heard Charlotte say, "Well then I must go eas-" her father began to say but was stopped mid sentence, then that's when everything turned chaotic, "HEY! YOU CHEATER" Caius yelled then went chasing after his daughter

my daughter turned to me "Hey let's do what they are doing!" Nessie says

"alright, it wouldn't be bad to go hunting as a group" I said, I picked my daughter up and we raced to the forests.

"I don't see any trace of them" my daughter murmured, "Well, you see they go somewhere to get their food," as I said that I saw their guard Afton maybe 20 feet away draining out a human, I covered my daughter's eyes

"Dad why are you covering my eyes!" she exclaimed, "It's for your good" I said, then I made eye contact with the guard,

he snarled at me then he was coming closer to where we were, I backed up, then he growled at my daughter,

"Hey she isn't food" I told him, but he kept on eyeing my daughter, that's when I saw Charlotte came, "AFTON!" she yelled

Then I saw him snap out and looked over at the princess, then he went to normal, "Yes, Princess?" he says, "Help me hide from my fath-" as she was saying,

Her father came behind her, "This is King Caius, do not help her hide" he says as he nearing towards his daughter, "I got you" Caius said, I took my hands off of my daughter's eyes,

"Finally!" Nessie says then looks at the blood on Afton's mouth, "Dad that doesn't smell like animal blood" she whispers,

"It's just a different type of animal blood" I said which wasn't entirely a lie, "Young Lady, are you trying to provoke me?" I heard Caius threateningly say,

"Of course, Daddy" I heard Charlotte say, then zoom they ran away,

"Daddy this is a interesting hunting" my daughter says, "Yes it is" I said,

when I looked at how Caius interacted with his daughter I thought she'd be more scared when he was practically threatening her but she just let it happen,

I was happy that she had the courage to stand up to her father, like she did when I first met, but somehow when I first met her, her interaction with her father was minimal it seemed.

"Daddy how come I heard Charlotte say 'I am a mistake'" my daughter asked, "That's not my place to answer that I'm sorry, Honey" I gave her a pat on the head, my daughter seemed really interested in Charlotte, she admires her it seems.

Caius's POV
My daughter had started ahead before me,

and so I chased after her then we found some humans on trial so we both attacked,

however it was at the same human, with my vampire instinct I kept growling at my daughter to leave my prey,

then she did the same thing,

but eventually we both went onto the second human,

then we saw Afton feeding on a human then I saw him looking at a certain direction,

that's when I realized he was eyeing Edward's daughter,

while thinking my daughter stuck her tongue out at me then fled to Afton, which I was glad because I didn't want to manage with the damage of his actions,

"Young lady!" I called after,

The child of Edward's is very much talkative and likes to pester my daughter.

After a lot of chasing around,

we made it back to the house in one piece,

I saw the whole family in the living room, my daughter seemed intrigued with the blondie,

"How was the hunting?" Carlisle asks,
"It was very much good" I glared at my daughter,

"What! It's not my fault that you kept attacking my prey" she crossed her arms,

I cleared my throat, this is the perfect opportunity with the attention on us to show the Cullens that I don't have a soft spot for my daughter.

Which is not true but I had to keep appearances,

"Get. Over. Here" I seethed, she stood her place,

"Do. Not. Provoke. Me" I menacingly said,

"Princess, it's best to try not to provoke our king" Afton says,

but then she rolled her eyes at Afton, "We are at the Cullens, you best pull your act together"

I grabbed her chin making her look at me in the eyes,

she kept averting her eyes, "Fine. I knew you were going to cause trouble, I should just have left you at home" I let go of her chin,

"You Were, the one attacking my prey and as matter of fact you were the one who invited me" my daughter says with a drip of sass on to it,

oh the joys of raising a tween, "And I KNOW I'M GOING TO CAUSE TROUBLE because I"m a mistake" she raised her voice then ran upstairs,

"You impudent girl" I muttered, I cleared my throat, "Excuse me everyone" I said turning to Afton,

"Grab twice the amount of people" I turned around and went out of the house.
