"Mommy?"

You flip the tv off and look over your shoulder to see your five year old daughter Lana standing in the hallway.

"Lana. Baby. You have school tomorrow. You need to go to bed."

She walks over to you and crawls into your lap. "Was that daddy on the tv screen?"

You pull her closer, tears forming in your eyes. "Yes baby. It was."

She looks into your eyes. "What was he like? Can I watch the video?"

You stare at her, giving in to her pleading face. You nod and turn the tv back on. Dan was smiling into the camera.

"Phil is going to be so jealous. He's never been to Hawaii. But I am so glad that I am sharing it with you."

A tear trails down your cheek and Lana wipes it away.

"Don't be sad mommy. Even though he never got to meet me, I know he still knows I'm his daughter cause he can see us from heaven. And he loves you mommy. Mr. Lester says that I was his way of showing you that."
