Sooji closed her mouth with her hand. Stopping herself from sobbing. She was eavesdropping Shihyun and Shian's conversation.
You can't force people to stay if you don't want to.
Why she even said that to Shian. She thought Shian wouldn't even remember. But he did. And it hurt him now. She didn't think that words can affect him this much. She feels like the worst mother.
And Shihyun's words. Damn those words. Why he needs to say that to Shian. She swears to God if he ever broke his promise to Shian, Sooji is going to kill him. She won't let Shian feels what she has felt.
"Are you eavesdropping?"
"Huh??", Sooji startles when Shihyun suddenly showed up beside her.
"Are you crying??", Shihyun touches Sooji's cheek. It's wet from the tears.
"No...I am not...", she brushed off Shihyun's hand.
"No...you're a great mom...", Shihyun strokes her hair gently. "Now...go clean up yourself...Shian will be worried if he saw you cried...I'll cook for both you..."
"You? Cook for us??"
"You know I can cook...I bet I cook better than you...", he smirks.
Sooji rolls her eyes. But she knew Shihyun was right. She just didn't want to admit it. "Okay fine...dont burn the kitchen..."

Sooji can hear Shian's laugh as soon as she gets out of the bathroom. She walks to the kitchen and shocked seeing the state of her kitchen. "What are you two doing??"
"Making pancake...", Shian grins.
"Pancake? For dinner??", Sooji looks at Shihyun questioningly.
Both Shihyun and Shian just grins innocently. And somehow Sooji's heart melts seeing the scene in front of her. They both are grinning like pabo. Sooji can't help but chuckles. "Are you two done?"
Shian nods and points at a plate with a stack of pancakes beside him.
"Now...you go clean up yourself...I'll prepare the table...", Sooji messes up Shian's hair.
"Yes, mom!", Shian sprints to his room.
Sooji looks at the state of her kitchen and sighs. "Remind me not to let you cook in my kitchen again...", Sooji mumbles. She hates cleaning.
Shihyun chuckles. "I'll clean this up...just prepare the table..."
"With a pleasure...", Sooji smirks and walks away from that messy kitchen.
A few minutes later they finished cleaning and Shian was already waiting at the dinner table.
