"lily and i are on our way to the music club, you wanna come?" Cara asked

"I'm not sure" I retorted, i actually didn't want to tag along but I was polite enough not to say that

"You could come with us just to see how everything works, you don't have to sign up or anything." She persisted

"It's true, just for you to get a feel of the place. Decide if you like it or not" lily added

"I dunno" I muttered, I was torn

"It'll be fun" lily tempted

"Yupp and besides i don't want you want to feel lonely or anything, come with us. You'll like it" Cara pressed, her face beaming with determination

"Fine" I recalcitrantly agreed, seeing as they weren't planning on letting up anytime soon.

"Yippe, just stick close to me and I'll lead you towards where we usually hold practice" Cara and lily began to head out of the class, I followed closely behind them.

A few students were making their way up the staircase while the rest, like us were making their descent. As I got halfway across the staircase a sudden foul stench hit my nose, I felt nauseated.

"Did anyone else smell that?" I made a disgusted face

Cara turned around midway and whispered "it was actually Doris, he just walked past us. He's always oozing of a repulsive smell. At first I thought it was a medical condition but later on i realized it's just due to atrociously maintained hygiene"

"The smell was awful, like a combination of rotten eggs and decomposing meat doused in cheap perfume" I whispered back, i felt sorry for the boy

"It's awful, people avoid him like the plague" lily had a symphatetic look on her face

"Sorry, coming through" a lanky girl called from behind me, we made way and she passed through

"Let's be on our merry way so as not to cause an obstruction" Cara suggested already continuing her descent

We arrived at the room and she ushered me in, the students were already sitted in an imperfect oval with chairs arranged in such a way that left about three inches of space in between one person and the other.

Josh waved over to us from his sitting position, there were two empty seats on either side of him and we stood awkwardly in front of the chairs as we were three

"You didn't keep a seat for lily?" Cara demanded glowering at him

"I totally forgot that she would be here" he replied in an unconvincing tone

"It's alright, I'll just search for another seat, there are a few empty seats around here. It's no big deal" Lily ignored cara's squeak of protest and turned around already searching for an empty seat. She soon found one opposite us and sat beside a stalwart boy who had earphones plugged in and was nodding along to the beat in what I'm sure he thought was a cool manner.

"That was totally unnecessary" Cara reprimanded as soon as we'd settled in our seats

"You do way too much at times" she added on receiving no reply

"It was a bit harsh" I commented begrudgingly, twiddling my thumbs

"Sorry" he shrugged looking absolutely unapologetic

"I don't understand how - - -" her angry rant was cut off by Cole's presence and the chatter in the room dulled slightly as everyone looked to him expectantly.

"you didn't tell me he's the president of the club?" I whispered to cara

"It absolutely totally slipped my mind." Cara explained, The wrinkled lines of a frown still resting on her forehead
