I heard the bell signifying it was time for lunch reverberate through the class, and I gaped longingly at the retreating backs of students trooping out of the class and possibly into the cafeteria. I waved off Cara and lily with a polite smile.

The class was almost entirely empty by the time i headed to the empty classroom Cole had described the night before.

He had arrived before me and was already sitted, on noticing my presence he patted the seat in front of him motioning for me to settled down. I lowered myself into the chair gently.

"Happy Valentine!" He exclaimed with a blinding smile

"Same to you." I replied simply

"I don't want to waste much of your time so you don't miss lunch." He explained causing me to nod in understanding.

"So I'll start off by handing you the package." He handed a neatly wrapped package to me, I extended my hands and retrieved it carefully from him.

"What do you think is in the box?" He asked, his tone conniving

"Maybe candy?, Chocolate?, A teddy bear? Cake? Perfume?" I speculated

"Come on, give me more credit." He joked

"I honestly have no idea what it could be." I replied truthfully

"What's the main symbol of Valentine?" He questioned

"Hearts? love?" I guessed

"Correct, and then I thought to myself. What'd be the most original and romantic to get you, I decided on a human heart." He declared with a self satisfied smile

"You're joking right?" I eyed him distrustfully

"Yupp, unwrap the present." He chuckled

With fastidious fingers I undid the gift wrap only to be met with another wrapper and another wrapper until finally I saw a hint of something white. It was a white box with the picture of a Phone on it, I opened the phone box to be met with a black iPhone X.

I schooled my face into what I hoped was a genuine smile "Cole, this is a really thoughtful gift, I must admit. I appreciate the amount of money and thoughtfulness put into this gift. But I don't think I can take it."

"Why not?" He looked taken aback

"My mom's going to ask how I got it, and what am I going to tell her then?" I gave him a questioning look

"That I gave it to you." He shrugged as though it were the most obvious thing in the world

I opened my mouth to protest further when he placed his index finger on my lips effectively shushing me.

"Take it home, if she gets upset. Then we'll know where to go from there. Okay." He spoke softly as though he were speaking to a toddler

"What about your tic for tac principle?" I demanded suspiciously

"It doesn't apply to you, I've told you this about a million times already."he huffed exasperated

"For real." I was unconvinced, this was a lot to give in return for nothing.

"Fine, since you're eager to please. Come with me on Sunday, for lunch, it'll probably be around 2pm. My dad and his new girl will be there. êtes-vous d'accord?" He questioned

"Huh?" I gave him a dumb look

"Do you agree?" He translated

"That's all there is to the deal, right?" I Inquired
