Chapter-9

It was impossible for Elanor to say no to Xander as she knew it will make him do something more worse to her. After taking a warm bath Elanor started to prepare herself for the dinner.

After getting ready and being satisfied her look she started to wait for Xander. Suddenly a message popped on her phone. She opened it, "I am waiting downstairs." She took a long breathe and went outside. She went outside and saw Xander was leaning against the car with a hand on his pocket. He was wearing a black suite and he didn't wear any masks which made him look more charming. It looked like he was finally opening himself up in front of the world as Elanor came into his life. When he saw Elanor at the doorsteps, the only thing which came in to his mind was how breathe taking she was looking today. He smiled and took long step towards Elanor. He suddenly hold her waist gave her a small twirl which surprised Elanor and made her giggle a little. Xander put her down and gave a small kiss on her forehead, "Let's go."

"Xander why are you blindfolding me?" He gave her a small peak on her lips, "You will know." During whole ride Xander kept Elanor on his lap and kept playing with her fingers where as Elanor was nervous as she didn't know where he was taking her. She didn't struggle when Xander put her on her on his lap and hugged her because she knew it will be a complete waste of energy. Xander was taller than Elanor which made her think if he was 6 in height or not.

Few moments later the car stopped somewhere. Xander guided her while walking and sometimes carried her so that she doesn't fall. Suddenly he stopped her at a certain point. He slowly removed her blindfold and when Elanor adjusted her eyes with the sudden brightness she saw something was indescribable. She looked back at Xander in shock and looked front again. 

She lifted her dress a little and went closed to the tree. This was the same place where she spent her time alone and took rest on Esme's wedding day. Only that tree was decorated heavily with lights where as rest of the trees were decorated with simple ones. Elanor couldn't help but smile as she walked around the big tree. On the other hand Xander kept following her from behind and watched every single reaction. He quickly took out his phone and took a quick snapshot of her and put his phone back in his pocket. 

He sneaked his arms around her waist and whispered, "Dance with me." He pulled her closer and both of them slowly started dancing on the silent piano music without breaking eye contact. For one moment Elanor forgot everything. Around her everything looked like a fairytale.

Xander twirled her, "I saw you here for the time. A girl alone laying under the tree away from the noisy world. For me you were the bravest as you didn't care about anything. Elanor you looked really peaceful. Whenever you are near me I get the same peace." He slowly removed his hand from her and stepped back and stood in front of her, "The person standing in front of you now is just Xander. A person without a mask. You turned me into something which I never imagined myself to be now. I never knew what warmth of love felt like but now I can feel it and its only because of you. I...I....I love you Elanor. So, be mine." 

Elanor was crying because she knew every single word which Alexander spoke was honest that's what touched her the most. She couldn't help but to fall for him. She slowly approached him and cupped his face, "I did hurt you many times didn't I?" He nodded his head as no but she already knew her answer. She burst into crying, "I am sorry....I am... so sorry Xander. All this time you loved me and the only thing I did was to hurt you. I love you....yes I love you a lot and I won't lie to you or to myself anymore. Thank you for being there with me till now,"

That's when Elanor pulled him into a kiss and this time Xander did the same. After some time both of them pulled back. Xander rubbed all the tears from her eyes. He kissed her forehead again, "I will always be there for you Elanor. I will make sure I follow you everywhere so that even if you fall back one day I can be there to drag you up with me. I will always be there to pull you up no matter what. No mistake or doubt can come between us. Every danger has to pass through me before reaching you and that's my promise to you. There is no you and me now. From now on its only us."

Xander rested his forehead with hers, "Forever.." Elanor brushed her nose with his and smiled, "Forever..." That day both of them danced together under the moon in each others arms while soft piano music was played along.
