There will be men who want you and men who deserve you.
Know the difference

"Um, I refused to be partners with Chase," I tell the teacher, raising my hand.

"I didn't ask. I assigned these partners so you will be partners," he replies back sternly.

"Shit okay. Someone pissed in his Cheerios," I mutter back to the group.

"Let's go," Chase says, walking up to my desk.

"Go where. What about here. Here is good," I laugh weirdly while awkwardly rubbing my desk. Before I know it I'm thrown over his shoulder and trapped. Yet again by Thee Chase Huxley.

Asshole.

After a few minutes I'm finally set down in a new location. Bookshelves filled with books and books. "Hey! I didn't know we had a library," I think out loud.

"We've been here for detention once. You probably don't remember since this is probably the last place you'd be," Chase says. I roll my eyes and scoff.

"I read," I defend.

"I'm talking about actual books, not magazines, instructions, tasks. A good book," he says.

"You act as if you read," I scoff.

"Touché," he nods. I laugh as he opens a textbook up in front of us. I read though.

"Read these case files. I don't care, learn how to read these words. Most important shit," a huge case file is smacked right down in front of me. I reach for it and open it up. "I don't care that you're five if you can't pronounce assassin, concentration, determination or harder shit. You're out," he says sternly. "Sir yes sir," CK and I reply. "Alright angels I'll be back. Make sure you read and highlight all the important details," he says, opening the door about to leave. "Bye daddy!" CK and I yell. He waves before exiting.

"Luck!" I feel myself being shaken out of a thought. I look up at Chase who's shaking me. He lets go as I transport back into reality.

"Sorry what?" I ask.

"What memory was it this time," he asks.

"Nothing, I was just thinking about my sister. Just worried, I'm fine though," I reassure. "What did you ask?" I smile.

"Why were you avoiding me?" He repeats.

"Me? Avoiding you? Pleaseee, you aren't someone I'd avoid," I try to play it off cool.

Seriously how do I tell this guy oh I love you aha that's cool too. I don't even know what love is but here I am throwing the word around in my mind. Actually maybe I don't. Maybe I just think that because he's giving me attention. Or because he's been there more for me than anyone else has in my entire life. Whatever I don't love anyone because emotions are stupid. I'm just fooling myself.

"Luck, I'm serious. Did I do something?" He asks.

"Nope. You're just perfect," I lean in kissing his cheek. "Gosh when the fuck did I get so soft," I ask myself out loud. That was not meant to be said out loud, whoops.

"Well I love this soft side of you," he assures. Love, there he goes throwing the word around. I hate love.

"Such a priss for a bad boy," I laugh.

"Only for you Luck. Only for you," he whispers. I push his head away from my face as he moves closer.

"We actually have work to do," I laugh lightly.

"Since when do you care about work," he asks, until something hits me in the back of the head. Hard. Chase looks behind me glaring before I can turn around and he leaves his seat.
