~Yolanda's POV~

"You can't get rid of me. I'll kill anyone who stands in my way"

Those words kept reverberating in my head. A seering headache sneaked it's way, making me rub my temples.

"Yolanda?" Blake gently shook me back to reality. I gave her a blank look then gazed around the room. Everyone's eyes were fixated on me. My mind was still incapable of processing what happened thirty minutes ago. Logan burst in through the front door with a look of apprehension.

As soon as his eyes landed on me, he strode towards me and took me into his arms.
Tears failed to escape my eyes. I thought his embrace would scare the fear away but I couldn't. I guess the shock of it all left me in a trance or something.

I feel so tired. I just want to sleep. That's all.

My headache eased a bit, clearing all the confusion and shock.
"I'm sorry but he got away" Dectective James whispered to my parents, my head darting in their direction.

I bit my lip to avoid crying and pulled away from Logan.

"Hey... sugarplum. Don't cry, please don't cry. He's gone-"

"Not for long...." I remarked inaudibly.

"Yolanda. I know he got away for now but he can't run nor hide for long. We'll catch him soon"
Dectective James reassured.

"What if you're too late? What if.... he'll get me just like he said" my voice cracked as a single tear travelled down my cheek.

"God forbid! He won't get you. My dear, he wants you to be sacred so you can make a wrong move" my dad came over and sat beside me before continuing.

"Look at me" he lifted my chin to face him.

"Who's my strong baby girl? You are. He wants to break you, you show him that you're unbreakable" my dad encouraged which actually brought a smile to my face, melting away all the fears and "what if's".

I gave him a bear hug and whispered a thank to his ear.

"What I don't get is how he got in? I mean there's fences everywhere" my mother asked, anger present in her tone.

"Well you have a huge land Mrs. Woods, so I wouldn't be surprised if he stealthy climbed over or used bolt cutters to get through. You might want to think of adding a security system and electric fence" Dectective James suggested to which my mother nodded.

"More footprints. Seems like our guy climbed over the fence cause the track ended at the farthest part of the vineyard and continued on to the other side of the fence" One of the officers informed upon entering the room.

"Get the foren-" Dectective James spoke but was cut off by the officer.

"Already done sir. They're there right now. I've dispatched another team to search for him outside the property. Couldn't have gone too far. He's bound to wear out" the same officer gave a pleasant smile towards us all.

"Better get going then" with that he left.

I snickered to myself.
"I'm so stupid! I didn't even realize I was talking to my stalker/ murderer" I laughed more nervously.

"It's not your fault. No one expected it" Blake finally spoke, an expression of shock visible on her face.

"Well. That gives us an idea about our John Doe, huh? He strikes at the unexpected" Dectectve Quinn strode into the room with a stern look.

"What did he say at the end?" Dectective Quinn knew the Unknown said something awful.

"He......" I could hear my heart race, making my breathing ragged.
