Case 2. Killer VS Killer: Chapter 09. Taking Advantage Of

"What's going on?" Zhao Zhen looked at the terrorists handcuffed by SCI and asked Bai Yutang. "I don't remember offending these people."

"Well, it's not actually you..." Bai Yutang shrugged. He looked at Zhan Zhao, who was still thinking about Li Siben, and said helplessly, "Cat, don't you have something to say to Zhao Zhen?"

"Ah, yes!" Zhan Zhao walked over and said to Zhao Zhen, "Can you do me a favour?"

Zhao Zhen blinked. "I had tried to breed Li Siben, but the zookeeper refused to give me a lion cub. There's no way I'm taking him to Africa. The lionesses there all belong to the lion herd. Also, there's hardly any natural white lions."

Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang were a little embarrassed. Zhan Zhao waved his hand. "I'm not saying that I want a lion cub." Although he said so, he couldn't hide his disappointment.

Zhao Zhen smiled. "Then what else can I help you with?"

"Why don't you come back to the police station with us? We can talk in the car." Zhan Zhao said.

Zhao Zhen nodded and headed back to the police station. He was driving his big jeep, with Li Siben in the back seat, and Zhan Zhao in the front passenger seat. After listing to Zhan Zhao's request, Zhao Zhen gladly agreed.

After arriving at the police station, they saw Ben still sitting in the lounge. The terrorists were taken away. The police officers unloaded all their equipment and put them in the office. Bai Yutang asked Ben to identify them. Ben looked at everything and nodded. "That's the gear belonging to the man who attacked us that night."

Zhan Zhao grabbed the things carefully and became interested in a wristwatch... On the inside of the watch was a metal piece of iron with a coloured pattern, carved with a backward ZJ. It was obviously placed there to make it look like ZJ were the ones responsible.

Bai Yutang nodded and let Ben go back to the lounge to wait.

When Ben left the office, Zhao Zhen walked in. Right before the door closed, Ben heard Zhan Zhao ask Zhao Zhen, "Did Zhao Jue really come see you two days ago?"

"Yep." Zhao Zhen nodded. "He said he's at Leonard's."

The door closed and Ben left thoughtfully.

Zhao Zhen looked back towards the door and asked Zhan Zhao, "Was that okay?"

Zhan Zhao nodded with satisfaction. "Yep."

Ben went back to the lounge and sat down. He saw Li Siben lying on the sofa opposite him. Although it was a huge adult lion, it seemed gentle while lying on the sofa licking its fur.

Luo Yang leaned against it while reading, rubbing it every now and then. "Li Siben, what do you want for lunch?" Yang Yang asked while reading a book. "Do you want to eat roast beef? I'll buy some beef kebabs later. Do you want it spicy?"

There was a low purr coming out from Li Siben, as if it was talking to Yang Yang.

Ben was amused and asked Yang Yang, "Is this white lion's name Li Siben?"

"Mm-hmm." Yang Yang nodded.

"It seems quite obedient." Ben walked over and asked, "Can I touch it?"

"Yep." Yang Yang nodded. "Li Siben won't hurt you."

Ben smiled and stretched out his hand to touch Li Siben, only to see it suddenly look up and let out a low roar. It seemed to be angry and a little frightening.

"Li Siben, why are you so rude?" Zhao Zhen walked over and sat next to Li Siben. He reached out and touched its head. Li Siben immediately rubbed obediently against Zhao Zhen's hand.
