At 3pm, Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang received news from Bao Zheng that Uncle An had been approved to retire early because of recent events. In order to recognize his admirable service and contribution to maintaining the law and order in S City, he would receive the Medal of Honor awarded by the police station next month and receive high bonuses and generous benefits.

At 5pm, all the staff of SCI went to eat hotpot in a private room at Food City opened by Bai Jintang. Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang arranged a plan for the arrest tomorrow.

At 10pm, everyone dispersed and got ready.

The next day.

Zhan Zhao's book club at 8am was held in an activity room in the South Street Publishing House. There were 12 people present, and all looked like young students, including Yang Chen and Yan Jiajia.

But by the time it was 8:30am, Zhan Zhao still had not arrived, and he could not be contacted. Qian Mingyue's face showed some nervousness as she looked at the door. Not only had Zhan Zhao not come, the media that she had informed about today had not arrived either. Yang Chen and Yan Jiajia already showed an impatient look on their faces.

The crowd began to complain at 9am.

Yan Jiajia looked at Qian Mingyue coldly. "Are you messing with me?"

Yang Chen sneered. "Maybe you're the one who is messing with us."

"What did you say?" Yan Jiajia looked at Yang Chen, who turned away and remained silent.

"Maybe he's been held up by something." Qian Mingyue hurriedly made up an excuse. "He is a policeman, so he's very busy."

As she said that, there was a knock at the door. Then the door was pushed open. Zhan Zhao stood at the door and smiled, "Sorry I'm late."

...The more than 20 people present froze for a moment, then stirred excitedly. Some looked at Zhan Zhao in disbelief.

"Dr. Zhan." Yan Jiajia stood up happily. Zhan Zhao nodded to her. She immediately smiled even more happily. She looked at Yang Chen next to her, who seemed to have felt a bit envious.

"Xiao Zhan..." Qian Mingyue seemed to have breathed a sigh of relief. "I thought you weren't coming."

Zhan Zhao said apologetically, "I'm sorry. I'm a little late because I've been waiting for two people." With that, he waved to the door, and three people came in. They were Lu Liang, a man and a woman, who looked to be in their thirties. They seemed somewhat like husband and wife.

As soon as the three people walked in, Yang Chen turned pale.

Lu Liang looked at Yang Chen with an unhappy face, "Yang Chen...You've let me down."

"How could..." Yang Chen looked at the man and woman with some confusion.

"Do you remember them?" Zhan Zhao asked Yang Chen. "They are Zhao Jing's parents. You used them to do experiments. Why? Did you not expect them to be still alive?"

Yang Chen was completely stupefied. She listened to Zhan Zhao say in an unhurried speed, "We checked all the records and didn't find the whereabouts of Zhao Jing's parents. If they were alive, we needed to find them, and if they were dead, we had to see their bodies. So, is there a way to die without finding their bodies?" With that, he reached out and patted Zhao Jing's father on the should. "You can say the rest."

Zhao Qi nodded and said, "When Professor Lu diagnosed us with memory disorder, we were really scared, so we accepted his follow-up treatment. Yang Chen was the one in charge of our treatment process...She gave us medicine and treated us. Professor Lu would come visit us at home as well. However...Instead of getting better, our illness became worse..."

Lu Liang shook his head. "It's all because I trusted Yang Chen too much. She studied with me for so many years, and was a very capable person...I didn't expect her to..." He looked up at Zhan Zhao and said, "After you called me yesterday, I snuck into Yang Chen's office...When I found some of the information she hid, I knew that what she used for Zhao Qi and his wife was reverse therapy. She was also studying some unorthodox things that made their illness uncontrollable and had even made them suffer from severe depression."
