Case 3. Side Story: A Mouse and Cat's Past

After Qiao Weiming's case was over, Bao Sir gave everyone in SCI, who had been busy for nearly a month, a three-day holiday. Everyone went home.

Gong Sun was pushed onto a plane by Bai Jintang as they flew to a beautiful island on the other side of the world. Their three days were very romantic.

Because Bai Chi was busy, he had no time to look after Zhao Zhen and Li Siben. When he went home, he found that the place was flooded with rubbish. Zhao Zhen pounced on him, wanting to go on a trip. However, he was rejected by Bai Chi, who pointed to Li Siben and Zhao Zhen and said, "you two are not going anywhere for three days. This place has to be spot clean!"

Because Da Ding and Xiao Ding were abandoned by Bai Jintang, they bought a lot of snacks and went to Jiang Ping's house in their pyjamas. For three days, they stayed inside, ordering takeout, playing the latest games, and watching sports programs all day.

Ma Han and Zhao Hu finally had a holiday but were dragged away for a date by their girlfriends.

Wang Chao went home to his wife and child, while Zhang Long also spent time with his girlfriend.

Luo Tian was getting a headache these days because Yang Yang was trying to pair him up with and Ma Xin all the time. The child clung to the two of them as they went to the amusement park. He went into a room filled with balloons to play with the other children, leaving Luo Tian and Ma Xin outside.

Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang's mothers became attached to Lilia after taking care of it for a few days. They took Lu Ban to visit Liu Fang, who had no one to take care of him. The two mothers made him stews and wanted Lilia and Lu Ban to go on a blind date. However, Lilia seemed to hate that Lu Ban was fat, as she was indifferent towards him. On the other hand, Lu Ban was overjoyed as he tried to get close to Lilia but was emotionally hurt after getting rejected.

Everyone was busy with their own affairs. Bai Yutang was thinking about going on a vacation with Zhan Zhao. However, Zhan Zhao had locked himself in the attic early in the morning.

"Cat!" When Bai Yutang climbed into the attic, he saw Zhan Zhao surrounded by cardboard boxes, as if he were rummaging through old things.

"What are you looking for?" Bai Yutang curiously leaned over and saw Zhan Zhao take out all the diaries, notes and photos from the time he was still a student and spread them all over the floor.

Bai Yutang was speechless. Zhan Zhao looked up at Bai Yutang and whispered, "there's no reason why the whole school knows. Only I don't know!"

"Still thinking about that?" Bai Yutang sat next to him.

"You won't tell me, so I have to think for myself." Zhan Zhao mumbled by himself. "You won't even talk about it. Even Gong Sun knows about it, but I don't..." While complaining, Zhan Zhao found an old edition of <Sherlock Holmes> that Bai Yutang used to read. The cover was almost broken, as it was wrapped in Kraft paper. Zhan Zhao picked it up and flipped through it. Then, a picture fell out of it.

When Zhan Zhao reached out and picked it up, he saw that it was a very old photo, and was taken at night. The light was dim, as in the photo was the car Bai Yutang had used. Zhan Zhao was lying on hood of the car. Bai Yutang was leaning against him, like he wanted to kiss.

"Huh?" Zhan Zhao jumped with surprise and asked Bai Yutang, "when was this picture taken?"

Bai Yutang smiled and shrugged. "I don't remember."

"You're lying!" Zhan Zhao jumped on him and grabbed him. "Tell me what's going on! Hurry up!"

Seeing the angry expression, Bai Yutang smiled and said, "I really don't remember."
