Case 1. An Innocent Murderer: Chapter 17. Fun

At the sight of the blood on Zhan Zhao's leg, Bai Yutang's eyes turned red, "Cat!"

"I'm fine..." Zhan Zhao whispered, "The bullet is here..." As he said, he pointed to a small bullet next to him. "It went through and through, and didn't hurt the bone."

Bai Yutang's eyes became even redder. He tore off the sleeve of his shirt and tied it around Zhan Zhao's wound to stop the bleeding, "Cat, hold on!" As he said that, he took out his phone and called SCI, "Jiang Ping, cat has been shot. Call an ambulance. We are at the nursing home!" After Bai Yutang hung up, he saw the white van parked at the bottom of the mountain suddenly start its engine. It rammed through the barricade and drove up.

After a quick glance at the terrain, Bai Yutang picked up Zhan Zhao and placed him at the corner of a mountainside. Bai Yutang stood in front of Zhan Zhao and saw that the window of the van had suddenly rolled down, and a gun poked out...Bai Yutang could tell at a glance that it was a rifle, and the bullet was the same as the one that hit Zhan Zhao just now.

With a frown, Bai Yutang's expression turned cold. He raised his hand and shot his gun...The bullet flew right through the half rolled-down window and hit the person inside. Then, Bai Yutang went to the middle of the road and fired three shots at the van that was heading towards him. The bullets hit the left front tire as it went flat. Then, a sharp scratching sound of metal could be heard, and the car lost its center of gravity. Bai Yutang stood motionless as the car skid and veered to one side. Then, it crashed into a nearby mountainside. With a bang, the windshield shattered.

Bai Yutang looked coldly at the car that finally stopped. He went over and reached out to open the door, but the violent impact had jammed it. Smashing the glass with the handle of the gun, Bai Yutang reached in and grabbed the injured person in the driver's seat, "It's you?!"

Bai Yutang was slightly surprised. He pushed the man back hard and looked at the sniper in the back seat who had been shot by him. Then, the sound of sirens could be vaguely heard at the bottom of the mountain.

Putting away the gun, Bai Yutang said coldly, "So slow."

Walking back to Zhan Zhao, Bai Yutang saw that he was leaning against a rock, looking pale.

"Cat." Bai Yutang leaned forward, lowered his head and kissed him on the corner of the mouth, then said, "I will carry you down."

"En." Zhan Zhao nodded. He saw the crashed white van not far from them and asked, "Who is it?"

Bai Yutang bent down to let Zhan Zhao lie on his back. Then, he carried Zhan Zhao down the mountain.

"Xiao Bai..." Zhan Zhao leaned his chin on Bai Yutang's shoulder and said, "Who is in that van?"

Bai Yutang was silent for a moment, then said, "Pang Ji's son...He was released on bail two days ago...I forgot his name."

Zhan Zhao rubbed his chin against Bai Yutang's shoulder and smiled, "Why are you so angry?"

"Your back paw is injured yet you talk so much..." Bai Yutang frowned, "You've never been shot right? Such a pussy."

"You're swearing?" Zhan Zhao was shocked, "Captain Bai, where is your spirit of staying clean?"

"You better not have a scar. Otherwise, every time I see someone with the surname Pang, I will beat them up." Bai Yutang was still angry.

"You also have scars..." Zhan Zhao reached out and gently touched a large scald on Bai Yutang's arm, "One each. We are even..."

Bai Yutang said nothing. Seeing that he had reached the bottom of the mountain and the ambulance had stopped, he heard Zhan Zhao say to him, "It seems that someone doesn't want us go to the nursing home."

"What do you mean?" Bai Yutang placed Zhan Zhao on the ambulance.

"There was a shooting incident on the road, and the nursing home is sealed off." Zhan Zhao looked at Bai Yutang and said briefly, "I will take care of the wound here. Later, you carry me up the mountain. We will go to the nursing home first!"

Bai Yutang smiled and said nothing. He waited quietly for the doctor to examine Zhan Zhao's injury.

The medical staff quickly bandaged Zhan Zhao's leg and stopped the bleeding. Further examination will need to be done at the hospital.

Bai Yutang nodded and said to the doctor, "There are two more in the white van on the mountain over there. One is dead, and the other is dying."

The doctors looked at each other. They quickly got out of the ambulance and rushed up the mountain. Bai Yutang told the police officers to seal off the scene and not let anyone leave. He got Luo Tian and Bai Chi go investigate any elderly related to that police officer.
