Case 4. Love Murderer: Chapter 12. Xu Tian

After returning to the police station, Zhan Zhao and the others who had not slept all night fell asleep for a while on the sofa.

At least Ma Xin was called out in the early hours of the morning, so she was not sleepy. Everyone was worried when they saw Gong Sun's pale face, but Ma Xin knew very well that he wanted to do the autopsy on the dead body himself. Ma Xin blamed herself for always missing the important clues. That was why Gong Sun was still responsible for most of the work.

Bai Jintang glared at Bai Yutang, who got chills down his body from the stare. The police officers of SCI went back to work. Da Ding and Xiao Ding bought breakfast for everyone. Bai Jintang coaxed Gong Sun with a piece of chocolate cake and a large glass of milk before allowing him into the medical examiner's office to do the autopsy.

Bai Yutang sat on his desk looking at the information about vampires. Everyone was busy investigating the clues of the deceased, as well as the case a few days ago. Luo Tian was reporting to Bai Yutang about the injured student. It was impossible to ask any questions right now, as the student's vocal cords had been cut. Even if he recovered, he would most likely be extremely hoarse. Besides, he wouldn't be able to answer any questions, as he didn't see anything.

Apart from being frightened, the girl had no other issues and was picked up by her parents. The killer's clothes had been examined. A lot of fingerprints were found on it. The clothes were most likely bought from a second-hand store. Someone had been sent to investigate this clue. Wang Chao arrived back to report that the road around the forest had been closed overnight, but there was no clue on the cyclist.

The unlucky guy who was caught in the woods was indeed a fugitive trafficker. He had already been taken away by the drug trafficking team for investigations.

The evidence collected in the mysterious cabin was being examined by the forensics department, and the identity of the forest keeper had been confirmed... However, it seemed that all the clues had become useless with the disappearance of the mysterious man. Bai Yutang sat in a daze with a pile of information. Zhao Hu handed him a cup of coffee and said, "Captain, you need to get some sleep too."

Bai Yutang shook his head and motioned to Jiang Ping. "Jiang Ping, please search for clues on Xu Tian and Zhang Miaomiao for me, like where are they now? I'd like to ask for details about the vampire case back then."

"Okay, Captain." After checking for a long time, Jiang Ping turned to Bai Yutang and said, "Captain... Xu Tian died 10 years ago."

"What?" Bai Yutang frowned. If Xu Tian died 10 years ago, it meant that he was in his twenties when he began to chase the vampire. After catching the vampire, he accompanied Zhang Miaomiao for 10 years and died at the age of 40.

"How did he die?" Bai Yutang asked.

"Committed suicide." Jiang Ping replied.

"How is that possible?" Zhao Zhen, who was very sleepy on the sofa, also heard their conversation and thought it was impossible. "How could such a determined person commit suicide?"

"Jumped from a building and died." Jiang Ping printed out the relevant information and gave them to Bai Yutang. The photo of Xu Tian from 20 years ago showed he was a handsome man.
