1) I want to thank everyone who has read, commented, and voted on my translations. I started translating this novel purely because I really enjoyed watching this drama (and because I have discovered that I enjoy translating novels after doing it as a part-time job). This is also why I want to apologize for posting the chapters at irregular intervals. With work (I also have another part-time and a casual job) and uni, I sometimes don't have the time to translate.
2) I want to apologize for any errors I may have made, especially with the character names, case titles, and terms that are specific to certain cases. I realized too late that I should have made a glossary list (which I will do from now on).
3) There are some things that I will be changing/adding. I also wanted to explain/re-iterate a few things:
- Any words that are not spoken out loud by the characters will be in Italics from now on. (Like when Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang talk by just looking at each other.)
- For character names, I will be translating them either into English for foreign characters, or Chinese spelling for the Chinese characters (as I have done previously).
- * indicates there will be an explanation at the end of the chapter on any words/idiom/sentences placed before this sign.
Side note – If anyone has any suggestions of other good novels to read, please do let me know. At the moment, I have nothing else apart from S.C.I.
