Selena was in her desk trying to focus on the spell and remember how exactly she wrote it, she took a sip of her bourbon. She knew that Klaus was somewhere keeping an eye on their children and she didn't mind, she could use the opportunity to focus more. Theo opened the door with some book spells she requested
"Careful with them" he warned her stepping inside the study placing them on the desk and she smiled at him gratefully "Even mom was afraid yo use them"
"How do you know so much about mom?" She asked him with knitted eyebrows putting down the glass "I mean, I never got to ask you, you seem to know about my powers more than I do"
"Well, I lived with our grandmother for almost two decades" he pointed out with a small smile "I think she knew that you had no knowledge or whatsoever in being an Enchantress so, she told me stories about our parents, powers and spell books"
"Yeah" she whispered forcing a smile, she was grateful that the Gilbert adopted her and raised her but she still hoped that somebody would tell her more about her parents so she could feel a little connection with them
"You and Klaus are okay?" He asked her hesitantly as she went through the spell books and she nodded "You can talk to me, Leenie, you know that right?"
"You know when I gave him a chance, I knew there was a high risk, it's either the best decision I've made or the worst and I was completely ready for it" she admitted with a small smile "Our relationship is never perfect, we always argue and fight but we love each other so much that we're willing to fight and make it work"
"But something is holding you back" he concluded with furrowed eyebrows and Klaus was passing near the room only to hear them making him stop "You still don't trust him?"
