_'¤ Year 2030 AD of Kaliyuga ¤' _

The bustling streets of Mumbai hummed with the energy of a city that never slept. As the moon cast its silver glow over the towering buildings, Apsara made her way home after a long day of teaching. She hurried through the familiar streets, the sound of her footsteps echoing against the pavement. Finally reaching back at the quarters she hurriedly climbed the stairs and rang the bell of her apartment, waiting for the door to get opened. She glanced at her digital watch to find the time to be eight-thirty. She twiddled her thumbs being impatient. She was going to ring the bell again when the door opened with a creak. Laughter and murmurs being heard.
"Why won't you open the door in time?"
"You have zero patience, have champagne."
"I ain't drinkin today, had a long day."
Apsara said as she stretched her arms and yawned. Maya swayed her head sideways, dissapointed.
"Yo, look what I bought, CHAMPAGNE!!!!"
Vasuda screamed. Apsara closed her right ear in disturbance, holding a face of irritation. She rushed towards her room to find Jiayi with her laptop on her lap.
"You ain't joining them?"
She asked as she took of her head phones.
"I am too tired, I'll definitely lose it if I drink."
Jiayi hummed in response and continued scrutinising the screen of her laptop.
"I made Maggi, go eat!"
She said as she put on her head phones back. Apsara flopped her handbag on to her bed and left the room. She walked into the kitchen, trying to find the cooked Maggi. She lifted many lids of cookers, but found nothing. Suddenly a chill ran through her spine. A feeling as if someone is watching her.
She slowly looked behind, but found no one. Turning her head sideways, her eyes laid on the dark shadow of a person in the red light outside at the balcony attached to the kitchen. She hurriedly rushed out the kitchen and just as she closed the door behind her, a sudden crash shattered the stillness of the night. Before she could react, a group of dark figures surged forward, their faces obscured by masks, their intent unmistakable. Jiayi took off her head phones instantly, Apsara locked the kitchen door from outside. Her heart pounded in her chest as she faced the intruders, her mind racing with adrenaline-fueled with fear and determination.
"Who are you?" she demanded, her voice steady despite the fear coursing through her veins. But the assailants remained silent, their eyes glinting with malice as they advanced towards her. Maya picked the gun in the showcase as she loaded some bullets making the assassins stop their tracks.
"FREEZE!!"
Maya shouted as she threw an already loaded gun to Vasuda who catched it in ease and pointed towards one of the three assassins. The door behind Apsara was being banged by the fourth one. Jiayi came out off the room holding her gun and pointing it towards the third assassin. Apsara didn't move a muscle. The third assassin chuckled as she pulled off her mask.
"You guys are so funny!"
Apsara's heart skipped a beat.
"Mrutyu" she breathed out.
"How you doin lil sis?"
She chuckled mocking Apsara. Apsara looked at her elder sister with hatred flaming in her eyes.
"What do you think? After all of you ruined my life. Damn it!"
Apsara cursed.
"Ruined your life? You were just an outcast rebel of Amaravati and now look at you, top lecturer at the mumbai university, that too Archeology. Nice!"

"What do you want Mrutyu?"
Vasuda asked with a tint of fear in his voice.

"Ohh! Look, if it isn't our hansome Vaishnava. How are you even an Asura? But you look more mascular than before darling."

Mrutyu winked her eye with the scar. She had blonde dyed boy cut hair. She looked devilish with her underlined dark eyes.
"Mrutyu, I don't wanna hurt you. Go back to Asura Kali and tell him to mind his own buisness. I am done with him, I won't bother him anymore."
Apsara said moving forward to her sister. Mrutyu replied with a ghostly laugh.
"Oh dear sister, the ones who insulted the Dark lord deserves to rot and die. The ones who manages to make a scar on Mrutyu's eye deserves to rot and die."
She said as she pulled out the gun from her belt and pointed to Apsara's head.
"If you shoot her, we'll shoot your men."
Vasuda screamed taking Mrutyu's attention.
"Don't mind Vasuda, she knows she can only win by shooting me. She is never near of defeating me with her hand."
Apsara mocked her, knowing how to manipulate her sister to drop the gun. Mrutyu snarled in ire. Apsara smirked squared off against her sister, Mrutyu. Their eyes locked in a fierce gaze as they circled each other, the tension palpable in the air. With a swift motion, Mrutyu lunged forward, her fists a blur as she unleashed a barrage of punches. Apsara deftly dodged each strike, her movements fluid and precise. The sound of their fists colliding echoed through the room. Apsara countered with a swift kick, aiming for Mrutyu's midsection. But her sister anticipated the move, gracefully sidestepping and delivering a powerful elbow strike to Apsara's ribs. Pain flared through Apsara's body, but she gritted her teeth and pressed on. Their fight intensified, each exchange a testament to their skill and determination. Apsara's training as an asura's daughter clashed with Mrutyu's ruthless efficiency as an assassin. Blow after blow, they pushed each other to the limit, their movements a blur of speed and precision. As they grappled, Apsara locked eyes with her sister, a mix of pain and determination in her gaze.
"Why, Mrutyu? Why are you doing this?" she pleaded, hoping to reach the sister she once knew. But Mrutyu's expression remained cold and impassive, her resolve unyielding. With a fierce cry, she renewed her assault, driving Apsara back with relentless ferocity. The fight raged on, each combatant refusing to back down. Apsara swiftly took an opportunity and kicked Mrutyu at her face, making her fall down. As they stood amidst the wreckage of their battle, Apsara couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness for the sister she had lost. Maya, Vasuda and Jiayi was still pointing at the other assassins, crowding them both at one point. Mrutyu grunted with pain on the floor, but just as Apsara thought she will accept defeat, Mrutyu pulled out a halothane gas bomb and activated it producing toxic methane. Apsara started losing her consciousness as she fell on the ground with a thump.
