For Me... It Was Gwen

It is the morning and Y/N is seen sitting on the roof of Aunt May's home, looking over at the other houses when someone comes up and sits next to him

Gwen: "This spot taken?"

Y/N chuckles and shakes his head no. The two spider teens sit in silence for a bit

Gwen: "Wanna tell me what's bothering ya?"

Y/N: "What? Bothering me? No, does it look like something's- no, I..."

Gwen gives Y/N an unbelieving look. He sighs in defeat and hangs his head

Y/N: "I'm just... worried about Miles"

He decides only to tell her a half-truth

Y/N: "I think we were too hard on him. He barely got his powers and so much is happening all at once... He must be so confused right now..."

Gwen sees Y/N clench his fists and tries to ease his worries

Gwen: "Hey... Miles is smart. Yeah, all this different dimension stuff and being the new Spider-Man is a lot, but I think he'll be able to figure it out eventually"

Y/N looks at Gwen and gives her a hopeful smile

Y/N: "Yeah... I guess you're right..."

He looks forward at the rising sun and chuckles

Y/N: "It's funny... You remind me a lot of my Gwen..."

Gwen: "Oh yeah? What is she like?"

She raises her eyebrow and leans forward as she listens on with curiosity

Y/N: "She's a lot like you. Brave, funny, smart, and always has a good hairstyle"

He says the last part as he turns his head to look at her with a warm smile

Gwen smiles and turns her head so that she's looking at her knees

Gwen: "Well, she sounds super cool. Would like to meet her one day. Y'know, after all this is over"

She turns her head back and looks at Y/N with a soft smile. He grows a frown and furrows his eyebrows. He looks down and avoids Gwen's stare

Y/N: "Well, that's gonna be hard to arrange..."

Gwen gains a confused expression

Gwen: "Why? What's wrong?"

Y/N: "Uhh... well, y'know... kind of hard to travel through dimensions on purpose, right?"

He puts on a fake smile while looking at Gwen. She doesn't believe his answer is the real reason, but she decides to not pry any further

Gwen: "Yeah... Would suck to glitch every minute, anyways"

Y/N: "Heh. Yeah..."

They both stare off at the sunrise

Gwen: "Not a bad view"

Y/N: "No... no it isn't..."

Y/N and the rest of the spider people wait in the living room with Noir attempting to figure out the color of his Rubix cube as Peni comes in with the new override key

Noir: "This is... purple?"

Spider-Ham: "No"

Noir: "Blue?"

Spider-Ham: "No"

Gwen: "Has anyone heard from Miles?"

Peter: "Look, he's just clearing his head. I know the kid. He's got what it takes"
