Everything was one big sensory blur to me now. Fast but in slow motion.
People crowded the stage in a huge swarm, hugging me, and saying how proud they were of me. I saw my parents and Maria. I saw every single contestant that had ever been on this show. I saw the judges and Andre.
Everyone was there. Grace and Janelle. Tired Emmett. Gushing Maria. Proud Mom and Dad. Lovely Andre. They wrapped me in an infectious hug.
A huge smile dawned on my face as I watched my recap video, starting from my first audition to now, and I gave a tearful speech. I didn't register the words, but they were meaningful.
Everything was amazing.
It was my grand finale.
