~Emery's POV~

"Give me your ankle."

I smile warmly and place my foot up on Colin's knee, watching as he fixes the charm on my expensive, silver ankle bracelet. It joins six other charms, a diamond C, a dolphin, one made out of lava rock, one of a harp, a sailboat, and now one of a heart with the colours of the Italian flag.

I lean back in my chair and gaze at Colin with a warm smile, not moving my foot from his lap. We are sitting at a local Italian bistro in Venice. We have already eaten lunch and now are just enjoying a final round of wine for Colin and lemonade for me. It's walking distance from our place here.

It's been three weeks since the wedding and I have enjoyed three blissful weeks of adventure. Nothing is better than time just me and Colin and these past three weeks I have been showered with it. Soaking it up like a greedy sponge.

Colin turns his gaze to me with a warm smile, rubbing his hand over the top of my foot.

"That feels good," I say. My feet and ankles are slightly swollen now, another interesting symptom of my pregnancy. I take a long drink of the freshly made lemonade.

Colin shifts in his chair a little so my foot rests better in his lap. He gazes at me as he unclasps the ankle strap on my sandal before guiding it off my foot. He drops it to the ground and begins to knead his thumbs into the ball of my foot.

I smile and close my eyes, letting my head hang back a little. "Best husband ever." I murmur.

I hear Colin laugh as he runs his thumb down the arch of my foot. "Most perfect wife ever."

I smile warmly and open my eyes gazing at him.

"How are your shoulders?"

"Healing," I assure him. I got a bit more sun than my shoulders could handle while we sailed down here from Croatia. It's not that bad of a sunburn but turns out my husband overreacts no matter how red my skin is. Or minor the injury I have.

"Good," Colin says. He pauses his massage before taking a sip of his wine. He returns to kneading my heel.

I smile at him "it's my own fault, I shouldn't have forgotten to reapply."

Colin shrugs "I should have reminded you."

I flex my toes a little before smiling playfully "well if I didn't burn my shoulders, it wouldn't have led to that wonderful... sexy time when you were putting that after sun on them."

Colin smirks a little and gazes at me "that is true. Perhaps we can recreate it tonight."

I smile and nod eagerly. I sigh peacefully as I rest my head back again "I'm not sure I am ready to leave, Venice has been one of my favourite spots."

"You have said that about every place we have been," Colin says with a warm smile. "You'll like Rome. You turned into a little history buff when we were in Athens."

I giggle and nod. I have never really been into history but walking around Athens, learning about the oldest city in Europe, it turned me into a history fan. I loved going on the history tours, so much so that I bought a few extra books while we were there to learn more.

Colin retrieves my sandal from the ground and puts it back on my foot. He drains his wine glass before smiling at me "ready?"

I nod and finish the rest of my lemonade. Out of the corner of my eye I notice Reese get to his feet from the table he was sitting at in the corner. He looks so warm in his suit. It's like I can see the sweat dripping from his forehead. I glance at Colin "you should let Reese wear shorts and a t-shirt."

Colin glances at me with a small, puzzled frown.

"It's hot here. He looks like he is overheating," I say a small sympathetic smile crossing my face.

Colin glances at the man before turning back to me "he's fine. Trust me."

I hesitate before nodding. As we start to walk back to the house I glance at Colin "when is Reese going to get a vacation?"

Colin glances at me "we need security."

"Why?" I ask with a small frown.

"Because we do," he says simply. "This is Reese's job, trust me if he wanted a vacation, he would tell me."

I glance at Colin skeptically. I don't believe that for a second. I don't think Colin is the kind of boss where you ask him for things. You just thank him when he gives stuff to you.

"Blair should be finished getting everything ready. Did you want to do anything before we head to Joyce?"
