"Do you have a punch bowl I can use?"
I turn to face Luke, who's standing beside me at my locker. He raises his eyebrow, waiting for my response.
"Yeah hold on let me squeeze it out of my locker. Of course I don't have a punch bowl." I roll my eyes, shutting the door and leaning against it to face Luke.
"Smart Alec."
"Dumb ass." I sigh. "What do you need a punch bowl for anyway?"
"The Halloween party. It's next Saturday, after all." He says, texting someone back on his phone.
Is it really only two weeks away? Shit. Now I've gotta come up with a god damn costume. I hate Halloween, it's so much work. But hey, at least Grace will be with me. That makes things better.
"You're thinking about her."
I look back up at Luke, who's wearing a suggestive smile.
"What?"
"Grace. You're thinking about her." He says slowly like I'm some kind of idiot.
"How would you know that?" I question, crossing my arms.
He laughs. "It's obvious, Isaac. A blind man could see it. You start to smile and whole body softens. Your eyes look like you're staring at a fucking puppy or something."
