"I can't believe you almost had sex with Isaac and you didn't even tell me until this morning." Jane says as she heats up the grill.
I shake my head, laughing. Leave it to Jane to be blunt. I could barely even tell her about the part where I took off his shirt without getting embarrassed.
"Since when are you so frisky, Gracie?" She asks.
I shrug. "I honestly don't know. It's like I can't control myself around him. I always want more."
"Horny." She comments under her breath, giggling to herself.
I still hear her. "Not like that! I just love him, that's all."
"Aww, Grace, you're so cute," Jane smiles. "And hey, hormones are normal. It's all part of the circle of life." She raises her hands, fluttering her fingers as if they were butterflies.
I playfully roll my eyes. "It's just kind of exhilarating in a way."
Jane nods. "I understand. It's great to have someone you love in that way. I would have a person like that, but it takes a one of a kind man to handle," She gestures down her body. "All of this."
I chuckle again. "I'll be at the wedding."
"And I'll be at yours in a few years."
I feel my cheeks get warm. I don't want to deny it, but I don't want to get ahead of myself. After all, it's only been a couple of months, but in that time I've felt brand new. Better than I ever have.
