The only times when they met outside the cafe was during their morning classes.

As they did, she would wave or grin at him when their eyes happened to meet.

When they didn't,
she would always be there.

Every day, always behind the counter.

Every day, always with a wide smile.

Every day, always with an aimless comment,

a pointless question,

or an overused greeting.

He was getting tired of it.


On the other hand,
it surprised him how extremely easy he had gotten used to ignoring her after some time.

A week. Two weeks.
Three.

Yet, even then, she still didn't stop.
