"I'm sorry. Did you wait long?"

Hashimoto Rie asked this as she stepped outside the front door.

He turned to her.

He had been standing outside the cafe as he waited, staring at the people that passed by.

"... Not really."



Rie sighed in relief.

Then, she looked up at the dimming sky.
He followed her example.

"How rare! There's no rain today," she observed quietly.


"Wrong.
The rain is always there."


He stayed silent and ignored what he had heard.

"So... shall we get going then?" Rie suggested.

He looked at her expectantly.

"—Ah, also, don't forget!" she suddenly added with a grin. "You still have to tell me the rest of the story."

He didn't reply.

Instead, he decided to give her a stiff nod.







As they started walking, he continued from where he left off.
