"Yes, I do."

"Good. Now hurry, gather them together."

The shepherd boy obliged.

"What should I do next?" he asked.

"Imagine the world you want to live in. A world where you are a god. If you believe enough, the pathway should appear."

The boy did as he was told.

He closed his eyes, and imagined a world where he could not die.
A world where everything bent to his will.
A world where he imagined he could be happy.

When he opened his eyes again, a doorway had appeared in front of him.

Inside the open door, the boy could see another world.

The same one he had wished for.


"Is this... it?" he asked in awe.

The raven nodded.

"It is. Once you step inside, you can escape death and live forever."

The boy hesitated.

The raven waited.


"... Are you not going inside?" it asked tentatively.

The boy did not answer.

Hesitantly, he turned to the raven.


"I... I don't understand..."
