Silent.
Sudden.
Steady.

The first transparent droplets fell from the sky without warning.

It was so quick that he only noticed the rainfall once it started to pour.

The people inside the cafe stirred,
craning their necks to look outside.

He placed down his book.

A feeling of dread came over him as he watched the water splatter onto the panes.

"You forgot to bring an umbrella."
