"Next up we have (y/n) and Zack singing Only Us from Dear Evan Hansen" Ang said. Zack and I stood up and walked towards the stage.

We each took a mic. I looked to Zack, and he nodded. I then looked to the pianist and nodded to him.

I began to sing.

He kissed me and everyone clapped. As we pulled away, I smiled.

We walked off stage.

"Well that concludes our Christmas concert. Thank you Zack, (y/n), Emilia, Luke, and Ana for singing (I did random names)" Angela said, concluding our night. Everyone began packing up their things when Zacks phone rang.

"Dr. Zack Addy speaking" he said. We all looked as his eyes widened. "Oh" he said. "Yes sir I will think about it" he was cut off. "Oh it's not optional" his head dropped. "Yes sir I will call you tomorrow" he hung up his phone and stared at it.

"I've been drafted to go to war in Iraq" he said.

We all gasped and I grasped the chair next to me, in support of me not fainting.

"You....you have to go?" I said looking up at him. "They just called me" he stared off into space. "I'm going to Iraq" a tear slipped down his face.

"It'll be ok" Angela said placing her hand on his shoulder.

"They want to be a doctor there. Help save people" he said monotone. I looked at everyone else, who too, had tears in their eyes

"(Y/N) will cover your job for now. You aren't going to lose your job" Brennan said. I nodded and linked my hand with his.

We walked slowly out of the now empty cafe, all still in disbelief. "I leave Friday" he said.

"Christmas Eve?" I said in shock. "They can't take you on Christmas Eve!"

He sighed. "They can. I'm so sorry" he hugged me tightly.
