Chapter 6

Chapter 6: "I never craved attention, until I tasted yours."

Where is the justice in the world? Siguro ng nagbigay ng boobs si Lord, nakipag-unahan sa pila ang babaeng 'to. Nasusuyang pinagmasdan ko sila ni Shin na nakaupo sa may shore at nagku-kwentuhan. Laging sila ang magkasama at magkausap.

"They look perfect."

I turned to Jeremy with my brows snapped together. "Ano? Perfect?"

"Kuya is handsome and a genius. Ate Ally is also beautiful and from what I've heard she's smart, as well."

I scoffed. "Just because of that perfect pair na agad!"

"And who's perfect for kuya Shin? You?" he said, mocking me.

I bit my lower as  I reminded myself that he's just a little kid so I should take the high road. Pero may pitik kasi sa akin ang sinabi niya. 

"Ano, unfair lagi ang mundo? Kapag gwapo at maganda bagay agad? Yung matalino sa matalino lang din? Asan ang hustisya doon?"

He stuck out his tongue. "Basta hindi kayo bagay ni kuya! Hmp!" Mabilis na siyang tumakbo palayo bago pa ako makalapit sa kanya.

"Tse!"

I sighed when I glanced at them. Ayokong makita yung sinasabi ni Jeremy pero paano? Nagsusumigaw yung katotohanan sa mukha ko. 

Jeremy is right; they look perfect together.

This resort is truly beautiful but I can't seem to appreciate its beauty. When I first heard about this trip, I got so excited thinking I would get the chance to spend more time with Shin. Away from Ally. But unfortunately, the latter was invited. 

I kicked a rock out of frustration. This is not me. I don't give up easily. I held my chin high and walked towards Shin who was with Ally again. Yung totoo, linta ba ang babaeng ito? Lagi na lang nakadikit kay Shin!

Earlier, he rejected me again when I asked him to swim with me. I felt the weight of his rejection and humiliation especially when I saw Ally smirking.  Walang kibo na tumalikod na lang ako. 

My forehead creased when I saw Jeremy going to the forest. Tumakbo ako palapit sa kanya. "Jeremy!" Tumigil siya at humarap sa akin. "Where are you going?"

"Someone told me na may falls dito."

My brows rose up. "Really? Sama ako! Pero wait lang, alam mo ba ang papunta doon?"

"Of course! I'm not stupid like you."

Napaingos na sumunod na lang ako sa kanya. Mukhang alam naman niya ang pupuntahan. Pero natigilan siya ng makarating kami sa magkasangang daan. 

"So, left or right?" I asked and turned to look at him, but my forehead knitted as I saw uncertainty on his face. "Jeremy, nasabi ba sayo kung left or right? Alam mo ba talaga ang daan? If not, I think we should go back."

Hindi siya kumibo at basta na lang lumakad sa may kaliwa. I had no choice but to follow him even if I don't feel good about it. 

"Jeremy, balik na lang tayo."

"If you're scared, then just go back!"

"Hindi maganda yung pakiramdam ko dito, Jeremy. And it's getting dark already!"

"Like I've said if you're scared, then just go- ahh!"

Napasigaw ako ng makita ko siyang nahulog sa isang bangin. "Jeremy! Jeremy!" Mabilis akong dumungaw at nakahinga ng maluwag ng makita ko na hindi siya tuluyang nahulog. "Jeremy, don't move!"
