Chapter 39: "No camera could ever capture the look in her eyes and the feeling in her heart when she looks at him."

Shin and I visited Aya's father again. I'm glad that he's already okay. He's a very humble man.

"Tam, I've already made a reservation at Harriet's garden," said Mama She while we were having hot choco in the garden.

My eyes widened. "Totoo po?"

She smiled and nodded. "So you don't have to worry about anything. Just be there at 7pm. Everything is taken cared of."

Mahigpit ko siyang niyakap at nagpasalamat. The truth is, I was quite stressed because I couldn't come up with any ideas for Valentine's day. Every fine dining restaurant I went to was already fully booked. So, I'm really thankful that Mama She helped me out.

"Hon-hon, look!" I exclaimed as I showed the dress I bought for our valentine date. However, he just glanced at it briefly, obviously uninterested. "Nakakakilig yung reaction mo, hon-hon. Sobra! Gusto kong mangisay sa kilig!" I said, sulking.

He just gave me a blank look. I was so excited to show it to him tapos ganon lang pala yung magiging reaction niya.

Later that night, I went to the veranda to write a letter for Shin. It may seem old fashion, but I prefer letters over Facebook messages or posts. For me, nothing beats love letters; it's sweeter and more heartfelt.

The next day, almost every female students are holding either flowers or chocolates. Some are lucky enough to have both. One of the lucky ones is Sue.

"What about Kenshin? Anong ibinigay niya sa'yo?"

"Wala," I muttered, looking at her flowers with envy.

"Bigyan ko na lang kayo ng chocolates ni baks para hindi kayo mainggit- aw!" Hinila ng huli ang buhok niya. She hit him on the shoulder in return. "Masakit, bakla!"

"Sasaktan talaga kita! Saksak mo sa ngala-ngala mo iyang chocolates! Nakaka-diabetes yan, gaga!"

"Inggit ka lang, baks!" Napailing na lang ako ng magsimula na naman silang dalawa.

"Hoy, kapal ng mukha mong mang-inggit! Iyong nagbigay naman sa'yo niyan mukhang pusit!" he fired back.

"At least may nagbigay!"

"Magayuma ka sana ng lalaking pusit na iyon!"

Her eyes widened and hit him again on the shoulder. "Ang sama ng ugali mo, baks! Bawiin mo iyon!"

"Ayoko!" saad niya sabay irap. "Tam, wala talagang pa-flowers yung yummy hubby mo?"

I sighed and shook my head. "He's not the flowers-and-chocolates-kind of guy."

He tapped my shoulders. "Keri lang yan, baks. At least yummylicious hindi kamukha nung pusit na suitor ni Sue."

Natawa na lang ako. After class, I was in a hurry to go to the mall to buy some stuff. Luckily, Duke offered me a ride.

Aya asked.

Sinabi ko kung saan. Napamulagat si Duke. "Langya. Ang layo," reklamo niya.
