Chapter 27: "It doesn't matter how run you fast, the pain will always run faster." One Tree Hill
I didn't take Lindy's invitation seriously. Bakit naman niya ako isasama gayong kakikilala lang namin. Besides, Shin probably wouldn't want to have me around. So, I decided to sleep in. However, I was woken up by Pops early in the morning because Shin and Lindy were waiting downstairs. Ilang sandali akong natulala. Minadali lang ako ni Pops na maligo at mag-ayos.
I just wore a long skirt, white shirt, and white sneakers. Itinirintas ko na lang na parang pa-headband ang buhok ko.

Pagkakita ko kay Lindy ay gusto ko ulit tumakbo sa kwarto at magpalit ng damit. She just looked so sophisticated with her dress. Pero pinigilan ko ang sarili ko. This is me. HIndi ko kailangan baguhin ang sarili ko para lang makipagkompetinsiya.
Napunta ang tingn ko kay Shin. He was chuckling to whatever Lindy was saying. Why does it seem so easy for her to make him smile and laugh? I swallowed the bile in my throat.
It was Lindy who noticed me first. Tumayo siya agad. "Hi Tamara!" She was all smile as she gave me a peck on the cheek. Tapos ay kumapit pa siya sa braso ko. "I'm so excited and happy today because you're coming with us!"
I didn't know whether the smile I gave her was a smile or grimace. Nilingon ko si Shin pero nakatutok naman ang tingin niya kay Lindy.
"Pops, we're going!"
Lumabas si Pops mula sa kusina. "Sige, ingat kayo."
Nagpaalam din sina Shin at Lindy sa kanya. Hinila na ako ng huli palabas. Huminto kami sa tapat ng sasakyan ni Shin. The latter opened the car door and I had to look away when Lindy slid in. Hindi ko maalala kung kailan ako ipinagbukas ng pinto ni Shin. Hindi ko na hinintay na ipagbukas din niya ako ng pinto. I sighed as I got in the backseat. Dito na ang pwesto ko ngayon.
"Where do you wanna go first?" Shin asked.
Lindy turned to look at me. "Where do you wanna go first, Tam? Is it okay to call you Tam?"
"O-oo. Okay lang," I said with a small smile.
"So where do we go, Tam?"
"It should be your choice, Lindz," Shin said.
Tama naman siya pero bakit nasaktan ako? I forced myself to smile. "He's right. Dapat ikaw ang mamili kung saan mo gustong pumunta."
"Hmmm... How about you surprise me, Ian?"
He smiled and nodded.
I almost walked out several times because it was just too painful to see how close they are. How comfortable Lindy is with Shin. I sighed. What am I doing? Bakit ba ako sumama? Nasa amusement park nga kami pero hindi ko naman ma-enjoy. Tumingin ako sa dalawang tao na nauunang maglakad sa akin. Ang sakit sa mata na nakakapit pa si Lindy sa braso ni Shin.
