The IMG walked past the obstacles, jumping at times over the rubble, and moved forward to the location of the mysterious caller. The lights on their suits illuminated the wreckage of the destroyed building and the laser pointers on their ammunition searched for any foul movement, but found none. The inner space of the building was gigantic and they lost ways at times.

They needed to get to the stairs. The elevators were dysfunctional and there was no other way to go up. She was on the ninth floor. It was going to get sweaty inside of their suits.

After ten minutes of climbing, they reached the room. The room where the she was trapped. It was a mere shelter she had managed. Her home had been demolished from the attack, like all the other buildings whose carcasses spread up to the horizon.

The door slowly opened to reveal a room with cracked walls, much similar to what they had encountered on the way.

A curled figure of a girl looked up at them, her eyes heavy with tears and streaks of the colourless liquid traced tainted lines down her cheeks. She hastily rubbed her face and welcomed the group inside.

Humans around the galaxies, all spoke the same language. It was the reason why they had understood the girl speak in that message. Otherwise, it would have been dubbed by the system. So they faced no problem in communication now when they were face to face with her.

"So...why exactly are we here? And what the hell is actually happening!?" Sir Sanduo said in an authoritative tone, the same commanding voice that the crew was used to.

Drio had managed to calm himself down and was interested to hear the answers as well. Because he knew what had happened could not be explained by their standard model of physics. It was why he was so excited even if he appeared cool on the exterior.

They were all sitting in the other corner of the room opposite to the girl. She took a moment to calm her mind, gather her thoughts, and then, with a heavy sigh, began, "I am Sharlotte. What just happened here is just a warning. A warning to our people to hand me over to them." Her tone was composed with formality.

The IMG stared blankly at her. Clearly, they required more information to ask even a simple question. It was evidently visible from her aghast countenance that she was having a hard time managing herself even if she was trying her best. Why wouldn't she? After what had befallen her home, nothing was normal to her anymore.

She hung her head down and after a moment, looked up and sweeped a glance at all of them. Their faces said it all. She inhaled deeply, before restarting, rather than resuming. "Okay... I-I'll tell you from the beginning." She rubbed her eyes and began. "So, there was a star near our solar system which was a red giant. According to the scientists, it was going to burst into a supernova in a year or so. Before coming to Remanisis, that star was out of our range to run calculations on. It was quite literally invisible from the solar system of our origin. Thus, the possibility of something like this happening hadn't struck any of us.
