“What kind of relationship is this?”

The voice belonged to a woman. And given the way she talked to him, she is no doubt his fiancée. Lauren froze on her seat and dared not to make a move. All she could do was listen to their conversation as it couldn’t be helped.

“Is there a problem?” He asked apathetically.

“You don’t even care to call to know how I’m doing and I’m soon going to be your wife.” The woman on the other end of the line spoke in an aggrieved tone.

“I’ve been a bit pre occupied lately.”

“Okay. But you know that you’ll have to make up for it.”

“So, what is it?” He asked his tone slightly impatient.

“Your mum made reservations for dinner this evening.”

“Why? She wants to have dinner and also discuss the wedding arrangement with us.”

“I don’t know if I can make it.”

“Come on, it’s your mom’s request.” She replied anxiously. “Plus, I’m really looking forward to this.”

“Fine… What time is it?”

“Seven p.m.”

“Alright! See you later.” The call was ended, as they arrived at the company.

Damien walked into his office and was stunned to see Vivian sitting on the sofa.

Vivian Duncan is the daughter of owner and CEO of Duncan estates, Kevin Duncan. A partnership was formed between her parents and his mother when they met at a function a couple of months ago. And in order to expand their business and strengthen their bond, they opted for an arranged marriage between their children.

Vivian is the only child of her parent therefore; is highly doted by them. And just like any other high class woman, Vivian loved sparkly things. She travelled to many foreign counties just to shop for the latest trends designed by well-known designers.

Above all, she lived a life of luxury. Apart from being spoilt, Vivian was rude and overbearing. She looked down on pretty much every one she knew and to her potential suitors, claiming they didn’t match her requirements.

However, when she first met Damien, she had fallen head over heels in love with him and practically did all she could to please him.

“Surprise…!” She smiled excitedly.

He couldn’t hide the surprised look on his face when he asked, “What are you doing here?”

Seeing the look on Damien’s face, Vivian stood up approaching him, throwing her arms around his neck pulling him close as her lips met with his. For Vivian, kissing Damien was like taking a drug. Once she kissed him, she wanted to kiss him over and over again. She knew she had to stop even though she didn't want to otherwise she wouldn’t be able to control herself and at the same time cause him some sort of discomfort so she broke the kiss and moaned with him staring at her while she gave him one last kiss on the lip before finally separating from him.

“I came to see you… and your mother gave me some dishes to bring over to you.” She reached out tapping lightly on the flask sitting on the table. Sitting on the sofa across him, she raised her head and caught a glimpse of his expression which was pale, as her expression changed from a happy look to a questionable look.

“Aren’t you happy to see me?”

“Of course not… I wasn’t expecting to see you here.”
