Inside Lauren’s room at the hospital, she moved from her bed to the window, looking at the scenery outside, when the entrance door opened. Standing there was Vivian. Vivian didn’t try to hide her feelings towards her. She scowled at Lauren walking towards her. Glaring at her in contempt, Vivian began with a hoarse voice. You…! Her gaze met that of Lauren’s who answered apathetically.

“What do you want?”

“Is this also a part of your plan?”

“What? I must say you really are on top of your game. First you seduce him, and then trick him into traveling with you, then he almost died because of you and then when you return you make him pay your bills.” She accused with a hateful expression.

“…” Lauren remained silent not answering as Vivian put her hands together applauding her slowly with a look of disdain in her eyes.

“You know, you really deserve an accolade for the most pathetic actress.”

“I don’t have anything to say to you. So please leave.” Lauren said as she slowly began to turn.

Hey! I’m not done talking to you! Vivian’s voice was loud that Lauren stopped momentarily and turned to her with a serious expression.

She had the look in her eyes that said, “I won’t let you bully me like you did before.” She knew that, if she didn’t defend herself, she would always end up being ridiculed by Vivian and his mother. So she told herself, now is the time to stop playing nice and shows them the stuff she’s made of.

Feeling that Lauren was ignoring her on purpose, Vivian poked at her violently with the edge of her purse. “What is the real reason you’re hanging onto Damien, my man!? Hmm… answer me!” Vivian demanded.

Lauren glared at the purse that poked her along with the hand holding it and the next instant; she slapped the purse off her hand violently. Vivian watched as her purse fell to the floor with her stuff falling out.

“You…!”

Vivian turned to Lauren as she was going to attack her but froze, seeing the fierce look in Lauren’s eyes as she countered, with a nasty tone. “I don’t have to answer to you.”

Vivian felt a cold shiver from Lauren’s vicious stare but tried not to falter at the eyes that stared at her.

“After our last meeting, I thought you will be sensible enough to know your place but, I guess my words didn’t get through to you.” She jeered at her.

“You know, I just don’t get you at all. Is it my fault that you couldn’t hold on to your man that you’re here trying to act all tough with me now that you’ve lost him?” Lauren sneered.

“What?” Vivian’s brows knitted in frown as she raised her hand in an attempt to slap her.

Lauren grabbed hold of Vivian’s hand that was aiming for her face glaring at her and boomed. “This is the last time you will ever try such thing with me. I may have tolerated you for a long time but, I won’t stand for that anymore. I won’t hold back any longer. I will fight you with everything I’ve got. So I dare you to try hitting me and see that I’m not just all talk.” Her voice was calm when she spoke.

Fear swooped in on Vivian as she glanced at Lauren seeing the grim look on her face and huffed trying to avoid eye contact with her as she tried to move.

Vivian seemed to be in pain as she looked to the arm that was gripped tightly. “Let go.”

She started to struggle, but Lauren’s grip was tight and when she saw that Lauren wasn’t going to let go anytime soon; Vivian continued struggling till Lauren flung her arm releasing it violently.
