An emt Opened the door and Chris walked in, his daughters following behind. He took a stand inbetween two bodies.

"This one," he Pointed to the body on his right "Sean was killed by this thing Gerard says is a kind of shapeshifter. It hasn't been around for centuries." He began to explain but of course the girls already knew who and what the creature what

"The thing you shot outside the club the other night.?" Allison asked, sounding innocent

He nodded  "South American legend we know of calls it the kanima." He replied, assuming they didn't know

"This one" he pointed to the other body "Jessica. She was smothered to death after giving birth. The police think it was done by someone else."

Alex shared a worried look with her sister, Jackson.. or whomever was controlling him was killing more people then they knew how to handle. So far it had been, Isaacs father, Sean and Jessica. All living seemingly different lives.

"We think it's a person who's controlling this other shapeshifter. That means two killers, girls, One human, one not."

He looked at his daughters, his eyes casting from one to other and back again, awaiting the answer he knew they had. Of course they had answers, they had become better at the hunting then he did but unlike him and their family, they did it the right way. They kept jackson alive

"You know, the question I had after Gerard first told me about our family - "why us?"" Chris sighed, crossing his arms over his chest "He quoted me Winston Churchill. "The price of greatness is responsibility."

Alex scoffed "I wouldn't exactly call this greatness" she mumbled

Chris ignored Alex and continued "I think it's more about knowledge."

He began to circle the tables, then stepped closer to Alex and Allison

"What we know, the truth, what we know about the world, that makes us responsible, for a young couple, their newborn daughter, anyone that doesn't have the power to defend themselves." He manipulated his words, as if he was blaming them

"Are you starting to get it?" He asked.

"I get that this isn't a lecture. It's an interrogation." Allison remarked smartly, unimpressed .

"That depends on what you know."

"And what exactly do you think we know?" Alex asked, glaring at him

"Gerard showed me the library. Cameras didn't catch everything, but do you really think a little high school fight can explain that amount of damage?" He asked, voice grew stronger towards the girls
"We know you're trying to protect your friends, but people are dying. A child was orphaned. What you know makes you responsible. It makes you responsible for this." As the last word fell from his tongue, he whipped the white sheet from the Body it lay under, revealing the true disgustingness of a dead body.

Allison cringed before making an offer "What do you want me to tell you?" She asked

"Anything you know. Anything that can lead us to answering the one question that might mean everything. Who controls the kanima?"

Alex had looked away once the body was fully uncovered, it's pale tinted skin enough to make her feel sick but what really bothered her was her father's insinuations. The way he manipulated his words into making them believe they were the cause of two lives.

"No" she spoke up before Allison gave away any information "You don't get to pin what happened to them on us. You don't get to do that" She shook her head
