yuli

she devours 10 chicken nuggets in less than two minutes. then, mouth full, offers some to the girl, who conveniently, isn't wearing a name tag.

"whats wrong?" she asks, and yuli hates how she almost blurts everything out.

"nothing."

the girl chews, shaking her head. "i know it isn't nothing. no one storms into burger king on christmas to buy a 20 piece of chicken nuggets."

"it isn't christmas anymore, and it's fine."

"i don't believe you," she says stubbornly. "but i won't push."

yuli offers a smile. "it'll be fine. thank you for... for looking out for me."

"i can't stop thinking about you," she confesses, and yuli's heart clenches. "ever since we..."

"fucked?"

the girl sputters for air, cheeks flushing the familiar red. "uh, yeah."

"i can't stop thinking about you, either."

"really?"

"yeah."

the girl looks around, apparently sees no person and sight, and kisses her softly. "it's nice to see you again, yuli. i'm vivian."
