yuli

as much as she doesn't want to do anything for her sister, she finds herself holding fiona's hair back as the older sibling empties the contents of her stomach.

a minute or two later, after fiona seems sure that nothing else will come up, she slumps back against the bench, face pale.

yuli sighs and reaches her hand out. together, the two make their way to wherever fiona's apartment is; a fresh-looking brownstone that their mom and dad had probably helped her pay for— yuli's fists clench. "are you going to make it up to your room?"

she catches fiona studying her, but she quickly snaps her gaze away. "yeah. thank you."

"welcome." yuli's hand slips from hers, and she pulls her hands free at her sides. she turns away, just wants to go to her bed and pass out, or order two boxes of chicken nuggets...

"i mean it," her sister says, her fingers wrapped loosely around her forearm. "thank you."

"you're welcome," she says again, and walks away without looking back. her dorm room will greet her with silence and emptiness.

she doesn't want to be alone.
