belle was sitting on her bed when alex came bursting in,
"woah what's going on?" she asked.
"the couch is on its way!" they screeched.
"okay?" she looked at her roommate confused, "why are you this excited for a couch?"
"can we buy fairy lights?" they blurted out.
"uh sure? if you want." belle shrugged.
"thank you!" they beamed running out the room.

incoming facetime: clay

ACCEPT                                                       DENY

"hello!" clay smiled at the camera.
"hello there mr. wastaken." she giggled, her face not visible, "to what do i owe the pleasure of speaking to you for?"
"i just wanted to hear you're voice." he beamed.
"that's it?" she asked, her cheeks turning slightly pink.
"and to show you this." he said turning the camera to what seemed to be new merch.
"woah that looks awesome!" she exclaimed, "when's it coming out?"
"three weeks, you're the first to see it." he said turning the camera back round to him.
"i love it!" she reassured him.
"good, can i send you some?" he asked.
"oh my god! really?" she beamed.
"yeah!"
"of course you can!"

belle and dream talked for hours on facetime, enjoying each others company. she'd never admit it but the fact he showed her his merch first warmed her heart.

"oh shit, look at the time! how long until george's stream?" belle asked.
"uh-" he paused, "30 minutes."
"okay, i thought we were late for a minute." she sighed relieved.
"even if we were, it's not like he's ever on time." he laughed.
"you raise a good point, clay." she giggled.

they all joined the vc and greeted chat once george told them to. all the said was a quick hello before plunging into an awkward silence.

"okay so what do you guys wanna do?" george asked the group.
"i don't mind." dream mumbled.
"uh ok." george seemed put off by the lack of talking, "sapnap, belle?"
"yeah anything." sapnap spoke quietly.
"belle? you always have an opinion." george teased, knowing that insulting her was a good way to get her talking.
"yeah i'm up for anything." she said awkwardly.
"um okay." george let out a nervous laugh. "wanna so some practice parkour for mcc?"
no one replied, "i'll take that as a yes." he shrugged.

they all joined the server, someone knocked on george's door so he quickly left, telling the three to entertain chat.

"if you guys couldn't tell we are trying to be as awkward as possible." sapnap managed to say before the three of them burst out laughing.
"don't tell him though, chat." dream got out in between wheezes.

they managed to calm down before he got back and went straight back into the awkward silence. luckily chat played along, not even a single snitch in sight.

after about 20 minutes of george practically talking to himself and only a few words from each of them he finally snapped,
"okay, what is going on with you guys?"
"what do you mean?" sapnap said, acting clueless.
"why are you being to awkward?" he asked.
"we aren't?" belle replied.
"yes you are!" he huffed.
the three couldn't hold in their laughter anymore.
"i'm sorry!" dream wheezed.
"i feel kinda bad." belle managed to say, hitting her desk from laughing so much.
"i'm sorry gogy." sapnap laughed.
"i hate all of you." george complained.

after that they started talking and the awkwardness that once filled the call melted away. they felt bad, sure but it was funny.
