"Breaking news..." Xavier's voice boomed in Augustus' office as he entered with Aiden behind him. Aiden, who was a bit done with his friend's childish behavior.

"Stop fucking shouting, Xavier." Augustus said back as he watched his two best friends enter his office.

"What is it?" Augustus asked few moments later as he saw the two of them making themselves comfortable on his office couch.

"A dead body was found at the party yesterday." Aiden said smirking to Augustus, he knew it was him who killed that man.

"So?" Augustus asked with a shrug.

"My first guess was Xavier, but he was with me. Why did you do it?" Aiden asked Augustus.

"What makes you think it was me?" Augustus asked with a smirk as he sipped on his scotch.

"Everything." Xavier replied instead of Aiden.

"He deserved it." Augustus replied in a cold voice. He didn't want to remember of what that motherfucker tried to do with Ella, it made his blood boil.

"What did he exactly do?" Xavier asked curiously.

"Can we please not discuss that bastard." Augustus said irritated.

"Well... then on more pressing matters..." Aiden started.

".... I met Ella last night." Aiden said noticing how his friend paused for a bit.

"You expect me to celebrate?" Augustus replied, ignoring the jealousy which made itself known at the thought of his friends seeing Ella. He wanted to keep her to himself, hide her from the world.

"I expect you to take her to a psychiatrist." Xavier said. He still wasn't sure of that girl.

"Shut up." Augustus replied annoyed. He knew that Xavier was still not done with joking.

"I'm serious, Augustus. She knows." Aiden said looking at Augustus.

Augustus was typing something on his laptop but on hearing Aiden's words, he stopped. He felt a foreign emotion run through his whole body.

Guilt.

Augustus had never felt this emotion before and the uneasiness and pain it caused him was confusing him. He regained himself. He always was weak when it came to Ella, back then and now. He hated what he did to Ella, but he had no other choice. It was like killing two birds with one stone. His plan was proceeding, and he will get rid of all emotions he felt for Ella which made him weak and her, his weakness. However, the more his plan preceded the more the latter part of his plan seemed to fail.

"I don't care." Augustus said trying his best to show how he didn't. But he knew he failed when Aiden chuckled.

"Yeah, and I want to fuck Aiden." Xavier said laughing, making both of his friends look at him in disgust.

"What? I thought we were lying." Xavier said giving both of them a confused look.

"Can you shut that fucking mouth of yours before I staple it?" Aiden asked, frustrated. Both of them were now used to his dumb and useless humor.

"Why are you doing this Augustus?" Aiden asked turning his attention to Augustus who was still busy typing on his laptop.

"Do what?" Augustus asked. He knew it all too well about what Aiden was saying but he, himself wasn't sure of the answer to that question. He didn't know why he was doing all of this. Ella was a mystery, which was pulling Augustus to itself, and Augustus was too weak to stop himself in front of it, and he hated that.

"You know, Augustus." Aiden said a little annoyed at him.

"I don't." Augustus replied.

"Why did you marry her if you don't love her?" Xavier asked instead of Aiden. He may not accept it, but he was a bit worried for that naive girl, just like Aiden was.

"Everybody knows that no power on this earth can make you do something you don't want to." He continued, curious about his friend's intentions.

Augustus now removed his gaze from his laptop screen to his friends settled on the couch. He sighed, leaning back and then sighing. He knew all they said was true. He didn't love Ella, he never could. Love was an emotion Augustus thought he never could feel. He married her but now the mere thought of losing her did suffocate him. He needed her. Her sole presence was like a drug for him. A drug he was far too addicted to leave behind. She was making him feel emotions he never had and never wanted to. She was making him weak, and Augustus could see where this was going but he still tried to ignore it.

He may never admit but he liked how things were. Not him sleeping with Amber, but him being with Ella.

"Listen, Augustus. I know it will take time. And I suggest you take your time but just don't hurt her in the process. Keep her out of this." Aiden said and walked out of his friend's office. Understanding like he always does. He didn't want his friend to rush things up and mess them. He may have said those words, but he knew they were worthless to Augustus unless he wanted to do it.

"No matter how fucked up this situation is, I still think your wife needs to consult a psychiatrist." Xavier said walking out of his friend's office.

Augustus sighed walking up to the full-length window in his office which provided the whole view of the city. Putting his hands in the pockets of his pants, Augustus wondered of how differently things had taken turn. He sure did make the decision to marry Ella, but he didn't know how he was going to resist her if everything about her was so attractive.

He knew he was obsessed with her. He always was. But what he didn't know was the fact that his obsession was growing every day. The urge to keep her close to him, for her to only see him, for her to only love him... It kept getting stronger. He may have been strong enough to ignore it at first, but his strength was faltering.

He wanted to spend his life with Ella but at the same time he knew he couldn't.
