Too young for war

unravel me

I was being shaken gently by someone, and I don't like it. I'm hearing something, but I can't get myself to hear what their saying. and then..my duvet was taken away from me, again.

"up" he says, but I won't listen. I don't have anything to do today, so i can sleep a little longer. the problem is, that's my opinion, not his.
he doesn't really have a reason to wake me up so early in the morning except that I need breakfast, which I can get later.

I'm starting to think he just wants to see me.

wait, I got an idea!
as he is walking to the door I jump up and run to the door too. he looks a bit surprised and confused.

"Wait! I have a question.!" I say preparing myself for a 'no' as an answer.
"yes?"
"okay, don't say anything before I'm done talking, okay.?" I tell him.

he nods, a little amused.
"can I spend the day with you, not the whole day of course, but when you're outside.!" I say pretty fast.

I'm not looking at him, it was stupid of me to ask as I know almost 100% that I will get a no as an answer.

"fine" he says as he sighs. now I'm looking at him, i cant help smile.
"go get dressed and come down for breakfast" he tells me as he walks out.

I quickly get dressed in something warm since it's pretty cold outside today. I put on some tights and some flared jeans over, after that I put on a warm sweater and some warm shoes.

I still can't believe Juliette and Adam ran away, and kenji is now gone too..

I really wonder why they left, yes it has been some time since they left, but I'm still curious about it!
and I miss Kenji a lot.

-*Juliettes pov*-

as I'm digging through the garbage can I can't help but look over to see Warner Standing 20 feet away from me, but he's not the only one. Elena is there too. she looks so happy around him and I don't understand how that's even possible.

It makes me wonder what kind of relationship they have and their past together. He is now taking off his gloved and he is handing them to Elena which makes my eyes land on his bandaged arm.

the soldiers hovering around them are waiting for orders, waiting for something and my eyes won't look away. He finally says something to the soldiers and they all nod and disappear.

I'm careful to keep my head down slightly to the side so he can't see my face very well in case he looks in my direction.

Elena is trying making a snow ball now while I notice Warner looking in another direction. He is watching the people around him, even the small children running after each other.

It's hard to see what he might be thinking, he keeps himself completely neutral.

Elena now throws a snowball at him and I have to admit that it was funny. She laughs, but Warner doesn't look bothered.

She is saying something, but it's also impossible to hear.

A stray dog is now heading straight toward him and Elena. I'm suddenly feeling petrified. I'm worried for this weak, frozen little animal probably trying to find something to eat.

I don't know why I feel like something terrible is going to happen. The dog bolts right into the back of Warner's legs, it whines and whimpers a little. Warner turns around and my heart is beating faster.

But Warner actually look sad for the dog. Elena has also noticed the dog now and is running up to them again.
He looks around and disappears around a low fence with both the dog and Elena with him.

I'm suddenly so desperate to see what he is going to do and I'm feeling anxious.

I hear castles voice calling for us now, telling us  the coast is clear to move forward now that Warner is out of sight. "We all move, and we move separately," he says. "Stick to the plan!"

now is my chance to see what Warner is going to do to that poor animal. After telling Kenji I will be quick and catch up with them soon.

I walk a bit further down and the sight is leaving me so so shocked.
The dog is running after Elena in circles and she is laughing, she is having fun and She looks so carefree in this moment and I can't help but think she is just so adorable.

Warner is smiling, looking at his sister having fun. Warner is smiling.
He looks so different, so kind, so human.

h̶e̶ i̶s̶ a̶ m̶o̶n̶s̶t̶e̶r̶.

I can hear her laugher from where I'm standing, It makes me wonder if she knows what her brother have done to so so many people, I wonder if she really knows what is going on in the world at the moment.

Elena is now running up to Warner still laughing while the dog runs up to her again eager to play. She hides behind him and sticks her head out so the dog can see her.

she seemed so happy with him, happy to be outside of her room for once.

The dog suddenly knocks Elena to the ground and my heart stops for a second. I'm so scared how Warner will react if she got hurt, but Elena laughs even more while the dog tries to lick her face.

Warner walks over to them and helps Elena back up on her feet. she trying to continue to play with the dog, but Warner is brushing some dirty snow off her jacket. She is talking about things I can't hear, but she looks so happy.

as soon as Warner has gotten the dirt of Elena's jacket he is looking for something in his pocket, but this time I'm not feeling so afraid. Seeing how he acts around his sister I don't think he would do anything to the dog.

The dog suddenly starts eating something from Warners hand, I don't know what it may be, but the dog seems happy with! It's  so weird seeing him so nice and seeing him smiling makes him look so different.

I see Elena look around and her eyes lands on me. oh no—
my body freeze and I have to run, but I can't get myself to do so. She tugs on Warner's jacket and points at me. He was already standing up and I see him freeze when he sees me.

I run.
